Quality Improvement Operator – Oxfordshire - £21,000-26,000 per annum
Our client is an Oxfordshire based company specialising in the design and development of leading technologies for clean fuel production.
As a Quality Improvement Operator you will be responsible for the maintenance and continual improvement of Health and Safety processes and Quality Management Systems (QMS) within the working laboratory environment.
Suitable applicants must have:
- Minimum of BSc level qualification (or equivalent experience) in Chemistry or Physics.
- Previous experience working in a commercial laboratory.
- Experience maintaining and improving quality systems (QMS) including IOSH and ISO 9001/14001)
- Experience working with occupational health management and receiving/shipping of dangerous goods (DGSA) would be desirable.
In return, my client offers a permanent opportunity with an annual salary of £21,000 -£26,000 dependant upon experience.

Laboratory Manager - £28,000-£32,000 p.a. – Oxfordshire
Our client is an international organisation who specialise in providing contract testing services to a range of industries. A requirement has now become available for a Laboratory Manager to join the facility to manage an exiting customer contracts.
As a Laboratory Manager your primary responsibilities will include:
- Contract Management
o Act as customer primary contact to ensure contract demands are met.
o Overall management of the facility to ensure contract objectives are achieved within timescales
o Maintain a quality level of service including compliance to ISO 17025/ISO 9001 standards
- Facility Management
o Total management of laboratory facility
o Maintain facility costs, health & safety requirements and administrative duties
o Promote and develop continuous improvement of laboratory
o Management of internal audits
- Staff management
o Management of workforce levels to achieve laboratory productivity
o Drive performance management through; objective setting, appraisals and training
o Ensure full compliance of company Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct
Suitable applicants must have:
- Previous industry experience within a Laboratory Management position (encompassing the above responsibilities)
- Experience in customer service environment, managing a key customer contract and acting as main contact point
- Industry experience working to ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 standards
- Staff management experience including experience with performance management
- Experience of Health & Safety and Audit management
- A high degree of autonomy and a flexible approach to work is essential
- Minimum of HND/HNC in Chemistry (or equivalent)
- Management qualification (e.g. ILM, NEBBS, MBA) would be beneficial

Our client is a Microbiological analysis company and is currently seeking a Microbiological Technical Support specialist to join their team.
The role:
· Provide first line technical support to business clients and manage queries accordingly.
· Management of customer orders including shipments, collections and tracking.
· Providing guidance to clients based on technical analysis of laboratory data.
· Data input using in-house IT systems (Sage and LIMS).
· Supporting administration functions including raising invoices, filing, processing payments and supporting H&S legislation compliance.
The experience needed:
· BSc or equivalent level qualification in Microbiology (or similar) discipline.
· Excellent microbiological knowledge with a strong understanding of microbiological analysis techniques and identification.
· Previous industry experience within a technical support role, preferably for a scientific company.

As UKAS 17025 you will be responsible for all measurement issues of UKAS 17025 for multiple calibration laps. All work will need to comply within 9001 and 8655. You will need to maintain a up to date knowledge of weights & measures legislation. You will also need to undertake internal audits within management systems. All under pinned by you checking results, signing reports, certs, and maintaining records.

As Mechanical Design Engineer you will undertake design and some test and development work for specialist engineering company based near Andover.
