As the Technical Design Lead you will be technically responsible for the entire design and delivery of a project and will form a team with the project manager and other members of the programme team. There is a high focus and involvement in complex workshops that include engagement with different audiences that may have limited ICT expertise and as such it is imperative to be technically abreast of existing, new and emerging technologies within the Education marketplace whilst having proven interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in relation to technical consultations with customers.
As a design lead on a school project you will be able to competently write customer facing documentation that translates technical designs and solutions into a format understood by the School team and manage, configure, test and install both new and existing complex solutions as specified, taking full responsibility for the implementation on the customer sites.
We are looking for a "hands on" approach from someone who is able to provide advice and guidance on how ICT solutions can be integrated into new school building designs whilst building and maintaining relationships with key members of the school's technical staff and other 3rd parties involved in the delivery of the solution.
The core technological areas are: VMware; Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and 2008/Exchange 2007/Migration (both at a client and server level); Microsoft Sharepoint and SQL; Active Directory Design and Configuration; networking skills HP and/or Cisco equipment both at LAN and WAN network design levels.

A key client of Capita's is looking for an Application Developer with experience of .Net for a 3 month contract in Reading.
The governemnt based role is predominantly looking for a .NETdeveloper with at least 4 years exposure to all technologies. They heavily use AJAX so someone with experience within this area would be advantageous.
Their primary language is C# but we also have legacy systems using VB.NETand classic ASP, demonstration of any of these will be noted.
A solid background in all web technologies will be required, the developer is expected to be given a small project and get on with it. We do have SQL support within the team but if the developer displays knowledge of this it would be an advantage on securing the role.
