You should have good working knowledge of working with third party external suppliers and establishing SLA agreements with them. You should also be confident with making decisions and be able to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills. You should be able to Identify barriers to change and seek ways to overcome them. You should be willing to undergo a security clearance process for this position.

•Act as primary technical & Management ILS interface with subcontractors. Assess & judge technical content of Supplier ILS activities and be the authority for ILS Acceptance i.a.w. with contracts placed on Suppliers.
•Provide mentoring/coaching expertise to other less experienced members of the CSS logs eng skill group. (eg Chair independent reviews of other ILS deliverables)
•Work with Head of Support Solutions Design and pilot Functional Improvement initiatives on ILS/Supportability packages of work. Minimum of 1 initiative piloted/year.
•Identify opportunities on an annual basis to reduce ILS/Supportability costs by 10% every year.

Systems Engineer – 12 month contract – London – c£400
Advantage Technical Resourcing is working with a Central Government Client to find a Systems Engineer (preferably DV cleared).
The Systems Engineer will be reporting to the Lead Systems Engineer as part of the Systems Engineering & Design Assurance (SEDA) team, this role is responsible for tailoring SE processes and undertaking Design Assurance of process and content.
Essential:
• Experience of working with SE standards
• Understanding and experience of practical SE process solutions for large-scale complex programmes
• Experience of Enterprise Architecture and Frameworks (preferably MODAF). Note: the key requirement is for application across People, Process, Information, Technology and Facility (PPITF) and is not limited to applying a Technical Architecture.
• Experience of the whole SE lifecycle from requirements capture through to verification and validation, and able to demonstrate expert level detailed discipline knowledge of at least one part of the lifecycle.
• Experience of Design Assurance functions
• Experience of Architecture & Design of complex IT enabled change programmes
• Likely to have experience in applying Enterprise Architecture in one or more Technical Architecture fields (e.g. J2EE)
• Experience of MSP / PRINCE2 would be an advantage
Ideally should hold SC clearance and be willing and able to apply for DV clearance

Electrical Power Systems Engineer
Leading international company in the field of power/control systems for HV electrical transmission applications are seeking an experienced electrical/power systems engineer for the performance modelling and verification of HVDC, FACTS and SVC devices.
This will involve:
* Systems studies to verify design performance
* Creating electromagnetic and electromechanical models for power system & control equipment
* Producing controls and protection specifications and related real-time simulations
* Providing technical support and keeping abreast of new technologies in relation to HVDC/SVC controller technology.
You will be will degree qualified and have experience in industry in the simulation, design and application of HV electrical distribution technologies which will include functional characteristics of power systems & control technologies. In addition knowledge of digital simulator software (e.g. PSS/E, PSCAD) and modelling using Matlab, Fortran or C would be useful.
