The Role
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will:
• Be responsible for writing project briefs for new product developments and existing product seasonal refreshes.
• Manage the critical path for numerous concurrent product development projects and deliver to strict deadlines.
• Liaise with the supply base (Far East & European) - understand product costings, factory capabilities and negotiate terms.
• Ensure full visibility of all new and ongoing technical issues – actively seek to understand the root of the problem - work with the technical team and supplier to resolve promptly and effectively.

The Person

THE ROLE
Through a detailed and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Mamas & Papas Allocation Systems, Ranges and Stock and Sales information, you are responsible for working closely with our Retail stores to ensure that "The Right Stock Is In The Right Place At The Right Time."
Reporting to the Senior Allocator you will be responsible and accountable for the Automated Orders which are raised for all our stores. In conjunction with the company strategy, you will ensure that stock is allocated correctly against planned Rate of Sale by line, grade of store and VM instruction.
Responsibilities include:
• Proposing the initial allocation quantity to stores of new lines and establishing weeks cover to maintain and drive sales.
• Liaise closely with distribution to ensure that allocations are confirmed and picked by the warehouse within the timescales.
• Take accountability for all store stock issues ensuring these are promptly and effectively identified and resolved.
• In addition you will set and ensure accuracy of the range maintenance to keep VM guidelines at a high standard and ensure that space/free stock (Available to sell) in store is accurate.
• Ensure that initial allocation plans prior to delivery of goods are set and liaise with B&M to ensure stock is available prior to launch.
• Ensure the critical path for new store openings is followed. Work closely with Retail commercial and Visual Merchandise to ensure that the correct stock package is sent.
• Attend weekly meetings with relevant teams to discuss allocation queries.
• Produce ad hoc reports as and when required
THE PERSON
You will be an enthusiastic team player who is a quick learner with the ability to communicate well. You will ideally have customer services experience, good communication skills with advanced IT skills in particular Excel.

The Role Due to growth of our Design & Development team, we are now seeking a Design Engineering Team Leader to take the role of technical lead. This role will focus on setting the standard and create innovative solutions to mechanical challenges. Additional key responsibilities include:

The successful candidate will have a degree in engineering or mechanical engineering combined with an established career within a Design Engineering/Mechanical Engineering function of a consumer product Design & Development department/agency. You will have worked with injection moulded plastics, metal pressings and extrusions and have a sound knowledge of materials, processes and a working knowledge of manufacturing processes. You will demonstrate the ability to set the technical standard, provide creative and innovative solutions to technical problems, and engage and upskill a team.Man management and previous experience of Solidworks is preferential, however not essential.
