Role: Commercial Manager, WEEE/ Electronic Waste. Package: Circa-$130,000 plus excellent bonus and full, generous relocation package. Location: GCC/Middle East region.
The role:
My client, a major multinational waste management company currently rapidly expanding in the GCC/Middle East area, are looking to take on an experienced Commercial Manager with extensive knowledge of the Electronic Waste field (WEEE).
The main objective of the role will be to establish a successful and profitable business model and market delivery approach for E-Waste (WEEE) recycling in the GCC/Middle East.
The successful candidate will be expected to establish internal capabilities such as team, resources, facilities, operations, supply chain, logistics, etc., as well as building market network, and the needed alliances and agreements to promote and distribute the generated products, and integrate the value chain.
The holder of this position shall achieve a sustainable model by securing continuous flow of supplies (recyclable WEEE) from different sources, and secure best demand portfolio.
Requirements:
It is ESSENTIAL the successful candidate possesses the following attributes:
Master's degree in Business or Engineering
At Least 10 years' experience in Sales and Marketing function including establishing and implementing sales and marketing strategy and plans
At least 5 years' industry experience in recycling operations and sales, preferably in WEEE
Exposure to environment, waste management industries or similar such as utilities, transportation, etc.
The successful candidate should possess the following personal aptitudes:

The successful candidate should possess the following professional aptitudes:
Sales and Marketing, Forecasting and Target Selling, Variance Analysis, Pricing Strategies, Competive Analysis, Proposal Development.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate's responsibilities will be to:
- Establish a successful business model for the collection and recycling of WEEE and the sales of the products generated as a result of recycling activities
- Develop positioning and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share for all components that are generated as a result of the WEEE recycling operation
- Review and analyze sales and market performances against recycling programs to determine effectiveness and necessary actions, and way forward
- Develop and manage sales targets in accordance with the organizational goals and market potential
- Oversee the operations (or multiple operations) of WEEE recycling and ensure that it is producing the best products as per market requirement
- Oversee the development of sales staff and deliver sales practices based on best standards, policy and regulations of the company
- Perform sales orientation to new Salesmen and equip them with the adequate information related to contract negotiating, deal closing, opening contract account and developing sales plan
- Prepare and analyze sales performance reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
- Advise on improving the processes, policies and procedures / practices and coordinate changes with the concerned function
- Utilize advanced operational technology of WEEE recycling which will provide efficiency in service delivery
-Formulate WEEE related solutions that would provide value added benefits to clients' waste stream
- Evaluate WEEE recycling market intelligence and adjust sales strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions
- Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities across the recycling value chain and prepare action plans to address the resulted threats
- Coordinate with relevant functions (such as finance) on pre and post service delivery activities (including availability, schedule, billing, collection, etc.)
- Identify and evaluate customer needs and requirements across the WEEE recycling value chain, and ensure providing best response and feedback
- Respond to customer requests, develop offers, or proposals, and follow on all aspects of the requests
- Develop and nurture strong client contacts and positive, proactive relationships with managers and representatives ensuring open streams of communication
- Identify potential growth opportunities in the electronics and WEEE market place and convert potential business into deals with various business sectors (e.g. industrial, commercial)
- Oversee the development of Key Accounts, and the conversion of business deals, both supplies and demand, into long terms agreements at the regional or national levels
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners, such as electronics manufacturers and dealers, and create mutual value
- Meet with key clients and suppliers (producers of waste) while assisting sales representatives to maintain relationships and negotiating deals
