Experienced Sous Chef required for prestigious catering establishment based in central London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a unique operation where the role is varied, exciting and challenging.
As part of the role the successful candidate will be required to travel whenever necessary. This will involve travel overseas or to other parts of the United Kingdom (Estimated time outside of London is approximately 2 months).
The ideal candidate will be the consummate professional, someone who is passionate about fine cuisine and very high standards. Candidates will need to have a pro-active and flexible approach towards their work as this can be a fast changing and fast paced environment. A genuine team player/leader with an "all hands on deck" attitude is vital.
Ideally applicants will have worked to at least 5 star hotel standards or a similar top end establishment, working with all fresh quality produce. As mentioned the role will be extremely varied and a result cover numbers will range from very few right up to the high hundreds, so high volume catering experience is absolutely essential.
We’re looking for strong leadership and communication skills, as well as good staff and kitchen management experience. These required skills are vital to ensure the efficient smooth running of this operation, as well as the development and motivation of the already close-knit team.
The starting salary is in the region of £26,000 depending upon experience, with the option of accommodation if required.
