Site Manager / Senior Site Manager - Retail Our client is a well respected Contractor with a strong workload within the retail sector across the UK. Due to the recent release of latest Retail Refurbishment projects with supermarket clients they are currently seeking experienced Site Manager or Senior Site Manager for projects across the UK. The company has a strong workload, is well managed and has a strong reputation amongst its customers and employees. The Role As Site Manager you will be responsible for the refurbishment of existing supermarket stores and as such you MUST have ‘Live Site’ supermarket experience gained with another Retail contractor and be able to demonstrate you experience on live stores which require somebody with utmost professionalism and diligence. Your duties will include the following : Organise material requirements and schedule deliveries Manage labour and sub-contractor activities Implement Health & Safety inductions, CSCS, etc Maintenance of hoardings and plant Supervision of the Works Manage the site compound Liaise with consultants for design information Control traffic management Carry out Health & Safety check lists You will also work closely with the Project Manager to ensure that all contract reviews and cost reports are completed to deadline and truly reflect the contract status. You will be responsible for communicating Company Objectives to Site Managers, agreeing their individual objectives with them through development reviews and highlighting any training needs. Key Requirements SMSTS 5 Day Training First Aid Training Retail Supermarket Experience willing to work on UK wide sites and reporting to Regional Head Office for Pre-Construction Period The successful candidate will have retail sector experience of construction and have previously worked on live supermarket stores. You will also have: Strong leadership, interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to build/manage relationships with third parties as well as being able to work with and obtain respect from others throughout the organisation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to plan and prioritise activities and work with and in great detail Excellent Organisational skills. The Role Based from their Essex office, they are looking for a competent surveyor with strong skills in Social Housing to carry out Employer Agent and Project Management duties. Primarily, the requirement is for an Employers Agent to work on housing association projects carrying out traditional EA duties and contract administration, with surveying work for private developers. In addition, it will be expected that the successful candidate will also be involved in various other projects across the whole spectrum of sectors. Candidate Requirements To be considered for this opportunity, ideally you will be a MRICS Chartered Surveyor or similar qualified with at least 4 years experience in a employers agent or Surveying role.
