Project Manager - Development/Applications
Location: Reading Salary:Circa £50,000 - £60,000
Purpose of the Job
My client is looking for an Development/Application Project Manager to plan and deliver a number of Development/Application related projects, so a good track record of delivering software development/application projects on time and within budget is required.
Key Responsibilities * Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders * Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion * Liaise with project stakeholders on an on-going basis * Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders * Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools * Track project milestones and deliverables * Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyse results, and troubleshoot problem areas. * Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle * To hold weekly Project forums and provide weekly status update to senior management * Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management * Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals * Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary * Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team * Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path * Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations * Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements Key Skills and Experience
* PRINCE2 and/or Scrum practitioner certified * Create project work plans, estimating work effort, budgeting and resource scheduling * Software Development background, with knowledge of Java, Perl, MOSS/Sharepoint, Siebel and MS GP ( Great Plains ) being preferred, but not essential. * A good track record of delivering software development projects on time and within budget * Ability to define project management processes, tools and templates * Ability to confidently build relationships at all levels * Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills * Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments * Ability to bring projects to successful completion through political sensitivity * Ability to assess risk in terms of project timescale and cost * Strong, proven, direct experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution * Organised, creative, flexible and able to demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines * Strong familiarity with project management software (Microsoft Projec * Ability to holistically manage resources across multiple projects and demonstrate in project plans

Project Manager - Infrastructure (Internal)
Location: Reading Salary:Circa £50,000 - £60,000 + excellent benefits and training.
Purpose of the Job
My client is looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager to plan and deliver a number of Infrastructure related projects. Examples of these projects include Firewall Standardisation, Datacentre Migration, Circuit Migration, etc. and you will be required to define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. These projects will be Infrastructure based, so a good track record of delivering Infrastructure projects on time and within budget is required.
