Job Purpose

The Relief House Manager is responsible for providing a high quality housing management and support service to tenants living in the sheltered housing project and for ensuring the building is safe and well maintained. The Relief House Manager is to provide peace of mind to tenants and their families that they are living in a secure environment with someone to call upon if needed. You will provide cover for 4 sites in and around the NW London area so you will need to be a car owner and driver to be able to commute between the buildings.

You will be support the tenants, carrying out a call round to every tenant each morning/evening, responding immediately to alarms using the inter-communication system. Providing emergency help or general assistance, completing assessments of tenants, maintaining confidential records of tenants’ personal details. You will also liaise with the Tenant Support Advisors over the welfare of tenants and provide a link between the tenants and a variety of other services, such as Local Authority, Health and Social Services and practical services.

You will also be involved with the building's maintenance and Health & Safety, liaising with the handymen to ensure the tasks are completed, supervising the two cleaners on a day to day basis.

Socially support the activities of the Community Team and volunteers and in addition develop activities within the building.

Key Accountabilities
Be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with registration and legislative requirements and maintaining staff: child ratios at all times.
·Observe children through play to identify their individual needs, assist staff in the carrying out observations and evaluations of children’s activities and production of quarterly development reports for parents
·Be involved in the recruitment and induction of new members of staff

Overall purpose of the role
To ensure that best practice and consistency is applied to bids initiated or managed by our teams. The role exists to write, edit, provide advice, strategic input and support to bids. These may be re-tenders, sales bids or bid aversion proposals – created and delivered using hard copy and/or electronic media (including specialist e-procurement sites). The role includes involvement in major multi-national bids with our regions and partners, and in developing and sharing best practice internationally. The role requires contact at all levels and may include interaction with external bodies and their representatives such as suppliers, consultants and clients/prospects.

Impact of the role
The role impacts individual bid teams. The individual can have a significant impact on the direction a bid takes, the key messages being delivered, the overall performance of the team and ultimately on the success of the bid.
No two bids are the same - there are different people and issues involved in every bid situation. Consequently, there is a high degree of original thinking, analysis and interpretation required, with an ongoing need for creative and innovative ideas. Bids are always high pressure, very high profile situations where deadlines are tight.

Bid Manager - Travel Management/Multi National Bid Production

Main responsibilities

•To write or provide detailed editing, as required, on significant National and Multinational bids (tenders, re-tenders and bid aversion documents) and to provide strategic input and production guidance on smaller National bids (some writing input may also be required)
•To provide strategic input to bids including:
• - Input to steering of brainstorming sessions on approach and methodology
• - Input to team selection
• - Advice on positioning, construction and content of written documents and presentations
• - Development of proposal strategy and the identification of key issues
• - Development of strategic proposal content and its presentation for sign-off at key stages of the bid process
•Taking ownership of the bid response – building the response in our style or a customised style and format and overseeing it through to production and submission
•Writing on key sections of the proposal, including the Executive Summary, in a persuasive manner that takes full account of customer-specific style and content and achieves required positioning
•Ensuring that the commercial and competitive proposition is strongly and succinctly articulated in the Executive Summary and throughout the proposal
•Acting as the coordinating point for any additional outsourced support e.g. Design Team, including liaison with external consultants or other suppliers (as required)
•Participating in the project team assigned to proposal presentation design and creation (as appropriate)
•Providing advice and support to the Bid Leader on project management and all logistical aspects of the proposal (as required, and as core writing duties permit)
•Outside of the bid process, writing/editing on positioning documents, White Papers and other corporate communication pieces that have strategic significance for our business nationally or internationally
