Collaborates with other bodies to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution.
Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures. Develops and oversees a system for uniform handling of such violations
Attend all arranged regulatory meetings. If unannounced aim to attend debriefs where possible. Inform the General Manager of outcomes by e-mail or in the form of an action plan.
Ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organisation are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved
Identify potential area of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
Ensure proper reporting of violations or potential violations to Contractors, CQC, and HSE.
Report to CQC and contracts management changes and ensure that other required notifications are completed by management.
Undertake monthly home visit reports and Manager supervisions bi-monthly.
Undertake Manager appraisals yearly.

OPERATIONS MANAGER
Customer Care:
To have responsibility for all customer care within the organisation
To ensure that an effective process is in place to respond to, resolve and evaluate complaints to ensure that the organisation learns from any expressed dissatisfaction
To work with the General Manager to identify underperforming areas and areas of further development and improvement.
Communication:
Ensure effective internal communications within the Senior Management Team, Care Managers manager meetings

To work with the Senior Accounts Manager to identify full cost re: projects and related development activities;
To cross audit defined care homes
Staff Management:
With Human Resources, establish and maintain appropriate staff resources for all care operations to ensure that all projects are delivered effectively and efficiently to maintain quality standards
To assist to recruit, select, supervise, appraise and manage the performance of Care Home Managers through supervision
To ensure all Care Managers have up to date staff supervision, Personal Development Plans and appraisal forms – reflecting manager performance
To maintain an annual training plan to develop care operations and oversee monthly training matrices. Report monthly training matrices and deficits in attendance figures to General Manager.
To seek additional funding resources to meet future training plans
To develop and mentor new managers/ and manage homes where the manager position is currently vacant.
To enable Managers to understand reporting mechanism and systems which are sent to the General Manager

They are currently looking for a Peripatetic Nursing Home Manager to work across the South of Wales. The successful candidate must be prepared to travel within this region as required. The Peripatetic Manager is responsible for implementing Care Home policy and procedure and for overseeing the training and mentoring of staff on a regional basis.
The Role
In order to be considered for this exceptional position, you must be a qualified Nurse – RGN or RMN, with at least 3 years experience of managing a care home for the elderly, and must have recognised management qualification ( NVQ4 / RMA / LCMS / Degree in Health care Management). Your area of remit will cover crisis management, troubleshooting, quality control, health & safety, financial management, occupancy levels and the maintenance of CSSIW standards.
