We are looking for someone to enable The Original Factory Shop to efficiently and profitably import products from overseas by:



  • Acting as the central liaison point for all parties involved in the process, both internal & external, and facilitating the advancement of each order through a critical path

  • Progress chasing and troubleshooting at each stage of the import procedure to ensure required delivery dates are maintained

  • Maintaining the critical path that enables the business to have total visibility about the status of all import orders at all times, and to develop personal expertise on the progress of all live orders.

  • Maintaining and helping to develop effective and efficient administration systems


 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Enter all details of each order onto the existing “Allport” critical path spread sheet & pass that information on to Freight forwarder, Agents, Buyers & Finance Dept as required later to maintain LIMA

  • Ensure that current critical path sheet as well as attached spreadsheets (payments, testing, costs) are always kept up to date

  • Liaise as required with freight forwarders, Agents, Buyers, Finance department and Warehouse to ensure that each order is progressing through all stages of the attached critical path.

  • Update freight forwarder with details of all new suppliers & any new agents acting for us

  • Keep all filing systems up to date and ensure that we have copies of all original documents

  • Ensure that freight forwarder will receive all original documents on time to clear goods

  • Provide and store packing lists for warehouse
