We are looking for a Distribution Manager to be based at our head office in Amersham.Reporting into the Director of Logistics and overseeing a returns co-ordinator you will manage the performance of the returns department. In additional you will be required to undertake additional logistics or business tasks when needed.
Key Responsibilities
· Ensuring clear communications are cascaded to our third party distribution partners.
· To assist in the delivery of day to day logistics tasks such as maintaining the delivery schedule.
· Ensure retail store managers are fully informed of current delivery plans and any proposed changes.
· Responsible for proposing and agreeing Returns department budgets with the Director of Logistics, taking into consideration historical trends, future business plans and targeted efficiency improvements.
· Ensure that the Returns Department operating costs are controlled within agreed budget parameters, monitoring financial performance and proposing corrective actions where necessary and ensuring any cost, volume and mix variances to budget are detailed.
· Ensure service and quality standards are managed within agreed targets and KPI's.
· Manage and motivate the Returns department team, through the use of good communications, regular face to face business briefings.
· Manage employee relationships effectively, specifying and enforcing rules for behaviour, personal belongings and employee standards to ensure productive relationships within the workforce.

The successful applicant will come from a like for like role and will have at least 3 years managerial experience of leading and developing a small team. An expert in analysing and manipulating numerical data you will also have strong experience of dealing with third party partners. Your exceptional communication skills coupled with a logical approach to problem solving will ensure success.
