Leading financial organisation in Surrey are looking for a Server Support Analyst specialising in IIS and Wintel support.
You will be part of the team responsible for Web technologies, Windows server, Windows based enterprise and departmental applications in the EMEA region. Additionally you will work globally with the IT Department contacts to support infrastructure, applications, platforms, services and connectivity within the global enterprise.
This organisation have extensive and mature virtualised environments which are core to their current and future state as they expand services from our UK Reigate/London operations.
You will provide support and oversee day-to-day activities pertaining to web technology related activities, Windows server, windows based enterprise applications and in the EMEA region.
You will have expert skills in Web based applications, IIS, load balancing, firewall troubleshooting.
The Role:
- Provide 2nd tier and 3rd tier technical support for Web technologies, including internet and intranet applications.
- Provide 2nd tier technical support for a Windows based servers, enterprise application (MS SQL 2005/2008, SharePoint, VMWare)
- Perform analysis, system enhancements and administration tasks, your specialism will focused on web technologies
- Administration management at domain, services, Group Policy level
- Review system capacity and performance data to keep management informed about current usage and future growth
- Develop specifications and make recommendations for resources required to maintain and/or expand current standards and service levels
The Requirements:
- Experience implementing secure measures within hosted architectures (e.g. Windows OS hardening, Anti-Virus, host based IDS, and System Vulnerabilities).
- Significant experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), Microsoft Webservices, and Windows Group Policy
- Demonstrated Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 administration skills
- Ideally, demonstrable, proven experience in the following, other areas:
- Microsoft SQL 2005/2008
- VMWare ESX Server version 4.x
- MS Exchange
- Several years` experience working in a corporate environment
(MCSE, SQL, VMWare, Exchange, ITIL)

Main Responsibilities
- Providing guidance and information to the sales department and to prospects in a pre-sales environment to ensure achievable expectations are set before contracts are signed.
- Conducting meetings to understand client business requirements / requirement gathering.
- Creating functional and technical specifications outlining the client`s requirements and their workflow.

Essential Experience:
- Proven experience of interpreting business rules and requirements for IT Systems.
- Proven experienced in planning and conducting meetings with enterprise level clients.
- Proven experience of working to Time and Budget Estimates and working to tight deadlines.
- Must be prepared to travel to clients sites on a regular basis, sometimes for an extended period. Driving License required.
Desirable Experience:
- Understanding testing phases and the distinction between system bugs, issues / enhancements and training requests.
- Proven experience of the Software Development life
