Their power supply products are sold worldwide to over 120 countries, have been established for more than 30 years and are rapidly expanding. Applicants expressing an interest would need to have a strong development background in power supply design, specifically within SMPS technologies.
We can offer you two different scenarios, both are fulltime employments.
1st option
To be permanently based at their main R&D & manufacturing UK site. Financial relocation packages available if required.
2nd option
Work remotely, based in an offsite or home office environment, utilising daily video conferencing. Should this be your proffered option you must be willing to travel, our client will pay for travelling expenses and overnight accommodation.
Key responsibilities
* Develop initial designs of circuit and PCB hardware for Switch Mode Power Supplies.

* PCB Design using CADStar Schematic capture.

Quality auditing of Technical Construction Files (TCF) for company and legislative requirements. Reporting to the relevant Production, Engineering or other teams the findings of audits via SPC (KPI) on areas requiring improvement.
Where required, responding to shop floor enquiries in relation to quality of product. Resolving them and activating measures to prevent re-occurrence of default or problem.
Raising Non-Compliance Notes to enable the return of items/materials to supplier. Raising appropriate documentation for rework of defective items. Seek concession for acceptance of non-conforming items/materials depending on importance to the end product or certification. Scrapping of non-conforming items/materials and the quarantining of non-conforming products. Working with the source of the non-compliance to implement effective corrective action to ensure repeat non-conformance do not re-occur.
Training
• QA functions and activities training to be carried out on-job, as required.
Qualifications
The qualification requirement for this role is ONC or City & Guilds – Mechanical/Electrical. Relevant Engineering experience would be considered. QMS Auditor/ Lead Auditor training are a requirement of this position.
The ideal candidate will be IT literate as data analysis and reporting will be necessary.
Knowledge of inspection techniques and internal auditing is essential.

We are currently recruiting two Project Specification Managers, with experience in Primary Plant for HV substations based in the London area. We are able to consider either fulltime or long term contractors for these roles.
Our client is a global leader in electrical HV & EHV substations, who are a trusted partner to major utilities companies and the European Energy Market. With head offices in the UK and boasting over two decades supplying an international customer base with state of the art substation technology.
The successful applicants will be primary based in the office specifying to a team of designers, liaising with end customers and contractors. Some site visits required.
Ideal background:
Previous Project Management experience desired or would have had exposure to a similar role, within a specifications environment.
Background working with consultants and/or manufacturers of electrical equipment or contracts specialised in the areas of HV & EHV Substations.
Preparation of technical specifications for electrical equipment (400/132kV equipment) such as:
• Gas and/ or Air Insulated Switchgear
• Circuit Breakers, Disconnectors, Earthing Switch, Surge Arrestors, Current & Voltage Transformers
• Substation Busbar Arrangements, Transformers/Reactors, High Voltage Power Cables, Overhead Line Structures within substation
Special consideration given to those with previous experience of:
• Calculation of Mechanical Forces on equipment
• Layout design of HV Substations up to 400kV
• Selection of Electrical Equipment and their Rating
• Preparation of Bill of Materials for busbars, connectors, clamps, earthing materials, steel structures, cables, etc
• Interface and coordination design
• Familiarity with NGTS or International Standards
• Familiarity with protection, control, OHL and telecommunications systems would

Our client is a well known Specialist provider of Forklift Trucks and Material Handling equipment, due to continued growth within the company we are seeking an experienced service engineer, who will receive world-class training to work on specialist equipment.
Based in the Leeds area you will be joining a team of service engineers providing technical assistance to FLT and Material Handling dealers and end users. You will also carry out PPM and breakdown assistance, as well as issuing safety certifications.
