The role is 50% focused on DBA duties (Production) and 50% on SQL Server Development projects. Coordinate Business Management System changes and improvements with the IT department or relevant departments to meet the changing needs of the business.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers across all levels of the business.
Leading on safety and security legislation compliance.
Coordinate with HR and Project Office Administrators to ensure that the department is compliant and up to date with DSE and other compliance regulations.
Monitor changes, new and emerging compliance legislations.
Provide the leadership team with assurance that the business unit is maximising the probability that required standards are being attained.
Document preparation for meetings and assist with collation of management reports where necessary.
Provide compliance workshops and training to new starters and individuals as required.

The initial project is working on a piece of work for a national web-based data capture system. The new system will make it easier for our clients customers to make applications online, and enable our client to capture, validate and process personal data through a suite of web forms, integrated via web-services with their established corporate case management system.
The base technology with be .NET v4 (VB), and knowledge of MVC design patterns, .NET web forms, .NET web services and XML data transfer will be essential. The ability to make complex data capture and workflow easy and intuitive will be a critical success factor.
Initially for 8 weeks and paying market rates; this is an excellent chance work with some of the latest technologies in the market in a strong team of technical developers.
Contract extensions will be available and offered following the successful completion of the initial set of projects.
