Due to exceptional growth in the Offshore Renewable Energy Industry, our client, a developer of major Offshore Wind projects in the UK and beyond, is looking recruit a Procurement Officer to assist the Contracts & Procurement Manager with all aspects of their Offshore Wind business: Providing support to business development activities, procurement and supply chain management, and tendering for new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

•Interfacing with customers and suppliers with Offshore Wind
•Management of the Approved Supplier database and vendor approvals
•Assisting with business development and bid preparation
•Preparing scopes of work and pricing schedules
•Administering procurement, tendering procedures, tender evaluation and placement of orders and contracts
•Preparing subcontract tender packages for our client, and on behalf of external clients
•Evaluating subcontract tender returns and preparation of recommendation reports to our client and external Clients

Requirements

•Extensive experience in a procurement role – ideally within the Offshore Wind Industry, although experience in any Offshore Energy industry will be considered
•Experience of tendering and supply chain negotiation
•The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
•A solid understanding of relevant commercial skills required for the role
•A CIPS Qualification is an advantage

The successful candidate will work with other teams to support the Design, Construction and Operations & Maintenance work needed at different phases of an Offshore Wind project.

The Mechanical Equipment Engineer will play a key role in defining, maintaining and improving the safety and availability of fixed, mobile and rotating equipment systems used during both the construction and the O&M phases of the Offshore Wind Project.They will also provide mechanical support and technical assurance to onshore and offshore operations in line with company policy and applicable legislation.

Requirements

•Degree qualified (or equivalent) with experience in a related engineering field
•Ability to work with minimal supervision
•Operate independently within a team framework
•A current UK driving licence
•Design / Construction experience in the Marine / Offshore industry is an advantage
•Experience in electrical generation / distribution is an advantage

Management and Interfaces

•Participate in the Daily Management of the Offshore Installation Coordination Meeting
•Preparation of the “3-Day Plan” for Installation & Commissioning

•Perform frequent Offshore Visits
