We have an excellent opportunity to work with a leading mobile theatre unit. We are looking for experienced ODP’s who must be competent within two specialism’s such as anaesthetics and recovery or scrub and anaesthetics or Theatre Nurses / ODP’s who are competent scrub practitioners with at least 2 yeas post qualification experience.
It is essential that you are happy to work as part of a close knit team, be prepared to work long hours and also be comfortable working away from home Monday to Friday as you will be expected to work as part of the mobile theatre team who support the NHS across the country
Key Duties:
·Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and efficient working environment at all times, whilst delivering a high level of expertise and professionalism during clinical work at the host site.
·Develop clinical practice by sharing knowledge with co-professionals and participate in the clinical audit process.
·Maintain patient safety at all times.
·To act as scrub / circulating person during operative sessions, and/or able to perform the functions expected within the recovery / anaesthetic areas.
·To assist with stock control, and take part in product and equipment evaluation.
·Develop and maintain good communication with all grades of staff at host sites.
·To participate, together with other crew members, in the cleaning of the theatre unit when necessary.
·Any other duties falling within the remit of the operting theatre crew.
Requirements / Knowledge / Qualifications:
·Registered Practitioner with NMC or HPC registration / RGN or ODP
·At least 2 years post qualification experience
·Good interpersonal and communication skills
·Ability to work as part of a team
·Flexible attitude towards working hours

Position: Nurse Practitioner – Part Time
Salary: £24,834 - £30,354 (pro rata)
Location: Leeds
Contract: Permanent, part time

Job Description:
Provide information to clients in a supportive manner and carry out their pre-treatment assessment in accordance with NMC Guidelines for Professional Practice and the companies client-centred approach, Policies, Procedures and Quality Standards
Duties / Responsibilities:
·Work as part of the Consultation Centre team to deliver professional and high standards of care in accordance with NMC Guidelines for Professional Practice
·Treat clients with respect and dignity, giving attention to individual client needs and wishes
·Allay clients’ anxieties by being sympathetic to their needs and giving reassurance where necessary
·Establish that the client is sure of her decision to request a termination and ensure that the reason complies with the terms of the Abortion Act
·Obtain full medical history from the client and identify clinical factors which may place the client at risk
·Understand and refer to the companies Clinical Guidelines where appropriate
·Obtain advice and guidance from the clinic and/or client’s medical practitioner if there is a medical condition which may impact on the client’s treatment
·Carry out pregnancy tests and give results to clients
·Assess the gestation of the pregnancy by vaginal examination or ultra sound if scanning facilities are available
·Discuss treatment options with the client if applicable
·Go through the consent to treatment form with the client and describe the possible risks and complications
·Sign the consent form and record any additional specific comments or questions raised by the client
·Obtain a blood sample from the client and complete and sign the pathology form
·Carry out near client testing
·Discuss and confirm the client’s future choice of contraception
·Answer client questions and provide an opportunity for clients to ask questions
·Complete client case notes accurately and in full, ensuring that all handwriting is legible and documentation is clearly signed
·Provide accurate, current, comprehensive and concise information concerning the client.
Education / Qualifications / Training
·A-level standard of education or equivalent
·Registered Nurse level 1
·Counseling skills
Experience
·Completion of client documentation
·Working to guidelines, policies & procedures
·Venepuncture
·Taking of consent
·Assessment of Fraser/Gullick competence
·Gynaecological nursing experience
·Experience of pre-assessment clinic work
·Practice nurse experience
