Registered General Nurse - Disability Assessor £32,000 - £34,000 per annum + benefits package On behalf of our client, an Australian-owned provider of workplace rehabilitation, employment and psychological services, Pulse is recruiting Registered Nurses to provide health assessments in relation to a newly introduced Personal Independent Payment benefit, which aims at providing the claimants with additional support arising from long-term conditions. The purpose of this new opportunity is to undertake impartial assessment of the claimants’ conditions and their eligibility for extra help, and to provide non-judgmental recommendations to the government to promote fair decisions on all claims. This unique post requires nurses to undertake functional disability assessments of claimants both in clinics and in the claimants own homes. Successful candidates will assess claimant’s physical and/or mental health conditions and be able to assess how a given condition affects the claimant’s everyday life. The positions are based in West Midlands (Birmingham, Coventry, Walsall) and East Midlands (Derby, Leicester, Nottingham) with regional travel required to include home visits (an attractive mileage will be paid). We would particularly welcome applications from Community, District, Practice and Prison Nurses or those working in A&E and triage services; however any Registered Nurse with an experience of a wide range of conditions will be considered. Candidates need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with sound commercial awareness of business and customer needs. We are looking for Registered Nurses who are able to work autonomously in clinic setting in addition to visiting claimants in their own homes with ability to critically evaluate data, use clinical assessment skills to provide accurate evidence-based advice in a final report. You will also need to be a car driver with an access to own vehicle. In return, our client offers a salary £32,000 - £34,000 per annum and full or part-time working hours are available.
