The role involves receiving claims from point of notification, undertaking interviews using the conversation management processes or appointment local enquiry agents, and investigating the plausibility of the incident. Having considered all information gathered through the various enquiry processes we report fully to the client making recommendations regarding settlement. This is a hands-on role dealing with policyholders, brokers, solicitors and insurers.
Requirements
To assist the team in providing an effective and efficient claims service to our clients. To deal effectively with claims which are allocated, ensuring company policy, procedure and regulatory requirements are adhered to at all times.
A good telephone manner and the capability of working under pressure and to deadlines is a must. An inquisitive nature is a pre-requisite for this interesting role. Honesty, integrity and common sense are essential.
Skills
IT skills (MS Office), familiarity with e-mail and the internet. Time management skills will be utilised as it often becomes necessary to prioritise work and assist the team.
An ability to work with others, promote a positive attitude and a professional nature.
