The Role
As a Production Controller, you will be required to coordinate timely production planning on a daily basis to ensure manufacture and assembly of equipment/machinery is scheduled in-line with Customer requirements to achieve high standards of on-time delivery. Close liaison with shopfloor Machine and Assembly Shop Supervisors, Suppliers and other key members of Operations Team to support high overall standards of customer service is required. Provide fast resolution of supplier quality defects and parts returns.
This is a diverse role which covers a range of responsibilities from planning and production through to procurement, purchasing and sub-contracting.
Responsibilities:
Capacity planning.
Shop Floor Scheduling and loading.
To ensure parts shortages, stock losses or quality defects affecting the assembly of valves are resolved quickly and effectively, for high standards of right first time, assembly efficiency and build completion on time.
Establish good working relationship with Machine and Assembly Shop supervisors, purchasing, suppliers and other key members of Operations.
Enquiries to Sales orders.
Enquiries to Purchase orders.
Production Order closing.
Progress chasing.
Ensure product is manufactured assembled and tested on time to ensure customer delivery is met.
Forecasting, planning, coordinating, controlling, managing (product).
Actively participate in any relevant meetings.
Promote and Maintain best practices in Health and Safety and Workplace Organization.
Educational Requirements/Field Of Experience
MRP and ERP knowledge and experience.
Production planning knowledge and experience.
Cost savings techniques.
Machine Shop / Product knowledge.
