Main Responsibilities:
Due to the increase in sales of our clients printing systems, the position of print sample and demonstration engineer / technician is now available. The key functions of the role include:
Sample Responsibilities:
Understand customer needs and produce print samples to the required specification, e.g.
Production needs – Speed
Print quality
Substrates
Data work flow – How the data will be printed
Manage a paper and electronic sample filing system
Produce detailed sample reports
Set up and maintain print equipment to ensure optimum print quality, equipment includes:
High resolution Piezo Kyocera inkjet
Corona surface treatment
UV curing lamps – Arc lamp and LED
Transport systems – Linear rail, vacuum transport table, friction feeder and AB Graphic Rewinder
Camera vision systems

Supplier Quality Manager

This role will primarily lead and manage a small team with the overall objective to ensure that suppliers are delivering to the expectations of products being fit for purpose and reliable to the business’ needs. Capturing and resolving reliability issues quickly will also be a key aim. The ideal candidate will be driven to provide manufacturing with error free parts and provide customers with products of high reliability.
Main Duties of team:-
Establishing suitable measurement and improvement systems for incoming quality from current supply base.
Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering and Manufacturing to understand and resolve current quality and rework issues
Corrective action system management with suppliers - carry out root cause analysis and ensure robust solutions are implemented by suppliers for problems in supplied quality affecting manufacturing.
Support Manufacturing in the identification of immediate quality issues and provide satisfactory customer protection.
Develop and implement system for ensuring adequate incoming quality checks according to risk.
Develop suitable supplier control plans and support supplier visits where necessary.
Establishment of working methods and systems for the systematic review of Quality data available from internal and global manufacturing sites as well as field customer responses.
Representation where required at in-company and key customer / distributor meetings on quality issues.
Evaluation of warranty field returns for suggesting improvements.
Implement ‘back to back’ warranty claims on suppliers and manage returns of parts.
Support Purchasing in Supplier Business Reviews and provide performance data.
Support Purchasing in the establishment and assessment of alternative suppliers.
Ensure introduction of new supplier parts is done in a structured and controlled way using PPAP.
Ensure that the work carried out by the Company and our suppliers conform to the business’ standards
Identify and audit suppliers with the necessary core competencies to complement the Company’s product portfolio into the future.
Drive down cost through supplier development and lean implementation.
The objective of the above is to improve supplier quality and reliability, leverage supplier capabilities and therefore drive down the cost of manufacturing and test.
Qualifications and Experience for the Supplier Quality Manager
Reporting to the Group Manufacturing Engineering Director, this is a Management role that involves interaction with personnel at all levels. You will have a Degree and at least five years relevant experience in a supplier development, quality or manufacturing environment. You will be able to demonstrate experience in developing suppliers and show your understanding and use of appropriate tools including six sigma, Lean Manufacturing methods, metrology and process capability studies.
You will be a good communicator, with the gravitas and confidence to be able to influence at senior levels and persuade at all levels, exercising a high degree of tact and diplomacy as required.
You will be flexible, a level thinker and capable of solving wide ranging quality problems. A firm character and the ability to work as part of a team or alone as the situation demands are essential qualities.

Main Job Summary:
To provide front-line assistance to distributors worldwide, to answer technical queries and help develop their service processes.
Key Duties:
Provide front-line liaison for distributors on technical issues; assist with identification of machine parts and other order administration queries; provide interface to discuss non-standard parts requests.
Work with distributors to develop and improve their service offering, including carrying out regular audits of the service organisation and performance. Promote the use of the clients Business System with distributors.
Visit distributors to provide sales and service support, assist with on-site problem resolution, assist and advise with IB management activities, review parts returns, review on-going technical issues (including quality problems), coach distributors on information management and administration of data.
Manage the distributor on-boarding process, providing technical training and training support.
Provide set-up and sales support for exhibitions,
Gather, qualify and process out of box quality data from distributors; follow up with distributor where more information is required.
Manage / support distributors in retaining their installed base customers and consumables sales
HND/HNC in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Engineering qualification
At least five years service or technical support experience within a Customer Support/Service environment.
Happy to travel overseas for 25% to 30% of this post.
