The Role:

The Client:

Our client is a leading in name in the door industry with a recognized brand and large national contracts and framework agreements. Due to expansion in existing areas they are now looking to strengthen their sales team.

The Role

Working in the After Sales Division you will be targeted to grow the existing client base with quotes and contracts for maintenance and service works to the clients portfolio of automatic doors, industrial doors and roller shutter doors. You will have a mix of small and large accounts to maximize the spend in each company. The majority of the accounts are facilities management companies, so I knowledge of this market is essential.
You will manage these relationships and management and at site level to realize the full potential of each account. The role also with involves negotiating contracts and terms being involved and bids and tenders for new contracts and renewals.

About you

You will have account management experience ideally within in the industrial door sector however if it is a relating industry please apply. Your background may also be from selling service and maintenance of a product into facilities management companies. A true account manager you will excel at growing relationships and maximizing sales potential.

Due to this sustained growth they are now looking to recruit a suitably qualified Design Engineer to join the growing team at their Leicestershire operation.

You will be involved in all aspects of the design, from initial concept, through detailing and onto final manufacture.

The Role:

This is an incredibly varied role and includes the following areas of influence:

The preparation of mechanical designs for a range of food manufacturing equipment. Those with experience of food packaging machinery will be given extra consideration
These designs will be elegant and aesthetically pleasing, as well as functional
Liaison with fabrication teams, project managers and clients to ensure the scope of the project is controlled and brought in to specification on time and to budget
Ensuring compliance with directives relating to food manufacturing equipment
Provision of Bills of Materials for each piece of equipment and involvement in component sourcing
Preparation of Specifications
Quality Control

About You:

The ideal candidate will:

Be an engineer at heart and will enjoy the challenge of creating new and innovative equipment
Ideally educated to degree standard or carry sufficient experience within a relevant design field (unfortunately due to the experience required this is NOT suitable for recent graduates)
Be proficient in a modern 3D CAD system. SolidWorks preferred but other CAD packages will be considered for the right candidate
Have experience of food manufacturing equipment or similar products (pharmaceutical, medical, special purpose machinery etc.)
Be self-reliant and able to manage their own work-load
Be confident dealing with multi-disciplined teams, customers and end-users
Be able to occasionally travel to customers within the UK and mainland Europe

Other occasionally required skills that would also be welcomed include:

System Schematic Drawing (the role is almost solely mechanical)
Liaison with EC&I design to ensure coordination of requirements
Specification for site installation and testing
Liaison with site commissioning personnel for fault diagnosis

The Company:

My client is a market leader, specialising in the design and manufacture Controlled Environment Products for biological research and pharmaceutical storage applications.

In the majority of cases, a cooling system forms an integral part of their products. This will generally be based upon a vapour compression refrigeration system, which provides temperature control and de-humidification in some cases. The interaction of this refrigeration / cooling and humidification system is an important factor in design.

Temperature ranges for the products normally lie within the range -10 to +40 and occasionally extending down to -40, and up to +60. The products almost never extend beyond these limits and they are not concerned with very fast rates of temperature change, as would be the case with environmental test chambers. However some of the principles are the same, so applications from candidates with this type of experience are welcomed.

The Role:

This is an incredibly varied role and includes the following areas of influence:

CAD Drawings (utilising AutoCAD Lt - but other CAD packages will be acceptable, so long as they are relevant) including general arrangement drawings
Liaison with fabrication design engineers / project manager to ensure the scope of the project is controlled

About You:

The ideal candidate will have some or all of the following:

Ability to design HVACR systems from 1st principles
Ideally educated to degree standard or experienced refrigeration / HVACR systems engineer
Knowledge of bespoke refrigeration and heating systems incorporating large heat load management
Knowledge of refrigeration quality and health and safety standards
Knowledge and experience of Auto CAD LT
Able to produce detailed and accurate engineering drawings (detail to building general arrangement)
