The Role
Due to continued success and stead growth our client is currently looking to recruit a skilled maintenance engineer. Duties include preventative maintenance planning as well and emergency breakdown repairs on a variety of mechanical production machinery, assisting in with the day-to-day maintenance repair of plant equipment and updating maintenance records.
In return our client is offering a starting rate of £8.50 per hour, 33 days paid annual leave and overtime payable at an agreed hourly rate. Basic hours of employment are 8am until 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am until 3pm on a Friday.
Are you right for this role?......
The successful applicant will be: well organised, able to cope well with responsibilities, and be able to demonstrate fault finding/problem solving skills.
Educated to a reasonable level in a suitable mechanical engineering discipline you will probably have served a full apprenticeship in either maintenance engineering or mechanical engineering. Ideal candidates may also have, or be working towards, a degree or equivalent qualification with a mechanical engineering subject.
Candidates must have a good theoretical and practical knowledge of both hydraulic and pneumatic mechanical devices and also have a working knowledge of basic electrical maintenance.
Ideal candidates will also have some basic welding knowledge and be able to drive a fork lift truck, although neither are vital.

The CNC Miller will be programming, setting and operating using either Heidenhain or Herco controls to produce mould tooling. The successful candidate will start on a basic wage of £13.50 per hour.

We are currently recruiting for CNC setter operators who are able to set and operate a bending CNC Machine to maximise production and maintain required tolerances. Fundamental duties include operating relevant equipment and CNC machinery as required. Modification and setting of equipment to achieve desired standard of products is vital. All Inspection of finished product at all stages to ensure the drawing specifications meet the final product is important. Potential candidates will support team members and assist training when required. You must be loyal to all company policies and procedures concerning plant equipment and health and safety.
Previous knowledge of Addison and Eaton Leonard benders or equivalent CNC machinery is essential. A good understanding of metrology techniques is important. Previous experience with skilled CNC bending operative and sound knowledge of all setting and operating machining skills is vital. You must be fully conversant with all forms of measuring equipment and have the ability to interpret engineering drawings correctly. Potential candidates must be flexible with working patterns and have a willingness to work overtime when required.
