The Continuous Improvement Specialist will be responsible for developing & implementing strategies for continuous improvement goals across the engineering business, ensuring the TPS / Continuous Improvement culture is embedded. 1 To lead and support TPS activities and ensure that TPS knowledge is embedded throughout the organisation through effective communication and training. 2 To ensure that a culture of continuous improvement is actively promoted, identifying and facilitating cost reduction opportunities where possible across the organisation. 3 To lead the mentoring of lean practices throughout the organisation, and champion and ensure that 2S1Y (5S) activities are maintained. 4 To work in partnership with process engineers and project teams to ensure Quality and Productivity Improvement targets are achieved, in line with the Company standards and procedures. 6 To develop short and long term manning plans to successfully and efficiently manage production volume changes. 7 To utilise the fundamental tools of TPS to enhance the working practice such as 2S1Y (5S), PDCA, Kanban. 8 To develop Value Stream Mapping to analyse current and future states of procedures/ products. 9 To develop training plans for the TPS team and ensure they are supported and developed.
