Main Duties and Responsibilities
This Job Description sets out current duties of the post. This may be varied from time to time to meet the needs of the team or the business.
1.To monitor constantly the care/social needs of customers as park of an on-going re-examination of the service provision and to report back the Care Manager and changes.
2.Supporting customers to undertake activities of daily living by helping and encouraging them with, for example assisting with washing, dressing, toileting, bathing, showering and general assistance with getting the customer out of bed. You will also be expected to deal with continence management.
3.To support with medication regimes which include prompting with medication, administering eye drops, applications of creams and jells, to enable service users to achieve maximum independence.
4.To support customers to move safely throughout the their home and close environment having due regard and knowledge of company Moving and Handling policy and procedures
5.To undertake prescribed household duties as identified in the customer support plan.
6.To complete relevant customer documentation as appropriate
7. Where identified in the customer assessment and care plan, to ensure safe and appropriate handling of customer finances and valuables in line with company Policy and Procedures, such as pension collection, shopping and payment of bills.
8.To highlight and report to the team leader any apparent risks to both customers and workers maintaining appropriate records and reports
9.To support customers to “Self Assess” in relation to basic equipment such as grab rails, raised toilet seats etc.
10.At all times to main confidentiality in line with company policy and procedures
11.To support customers having due regard for the needs of carers and family including making referrals where appropriate for carers assessments and support
12.To liaise with other multi disciplinary agencies involved with the customer, such as GP, District Nurses, Care Manager, Occupational Therapist etc.
13. To participate in regular supervision and appraisal sessions identifying training and other personal development needs
14. To participate in mandatory training sessions i.e. moving and handling, first aid, COSHH, Food Hygiene etc.
Creativity & Innovation
1. Creativity and Innovation are necessary on the part of the jobholder responding quickly and assessing all possible actions/solutions when, for example on a routine visit finding a customer in distress, e.g stuck in the bath, hallucinating, had a fall etc.
2.Have the ability to relate to customers in conversation and have an awareness of their needs, showing sensitivity towards them and their home environment
Work Environment – Work demands. Physical demands, working conditions and work context
1.Seven day working pattern which supports people between the hours of 7am -10pm
2.To jobholder works to a service plan and risk assessments, but these will be subject to a flexible response to changing circumstances. Needs to be very adaptable

We are seeking skilled and motivated individuals to work within a challenging yet rewarding role for our clients based in North West England.
Providing nursing care to older and frail patients you will be required to take responsibilities for the venerable clients.
Job Description:
To provide a high quality of care to older people in accordance with the homes guidelines and procedures.
To be able to provide full personal care for older people including toileting, washing, feeding, and manual handling and transfer under the direction of the manager on duty.
To provide care which focuses on the needs of the individual but also promotes independence and choices and maximises the quality of life
To have a understanding of client confidentiality
Help clients maintain their dignity and individuality through activities and one to one time
Follow strict health and safety guidelines
To participate in record keeping, through brief written recording on individual case files
Have a compassionate and sensitive manner
Assisting with meal times
You will need ti remain clam under pressure, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work on your own initiative along with tact and sensitivity is vital as is your ability to relate to people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
The job is a 24hr operation and would include weekends and night shifts.
Driver preferred but not essential due to going to different homes, this is an as and when required basis - no set working pattern. You will be required to be available over the whole 7 days a week.
