My client are a leading EPC contractor who have a requirement for a senior safety advisor or safety manager to join the team initially on a 3-4 month contract basis with a view to this becvoming permanent.
The suitable candidate will have a relevant NEBOSH, RoSPA or equivalent qualification and ideally be a member of IOSH or a similar institution.
You will have a minimum of 5 years experience as an HS&E Professional in the Offshore / Petrochemical Industry and / or General Construction Industry.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Preparation, implementation and monitoring of HSE plans as required for local/site requirements.

Prepare data for and present at HSE meetings, ensuring that those meetings are minuted and actions/corrective actions detailed.
Reporting of observations and any action taken following site inspections and audits.
Provision of timely health and safety advice to local facility, construction management and other sectors of the company as required.
Monitor and assist with implementation of environmental procedures.
Preparation and maintenance of HS&E audit and inspection schadules and plans.
Performing audits withinthe company and on suppliers against schedules and additional requirements. Observing supplier/subcontractors own audits.
Accompanying external HS&E auditors as the company representative.
Analyse risk, administer, implement and control risk assessments.
Conduct timely accident/incident investigations, administer reports and take remdial action to prevent reoccurence.
Collate and issue HS&E reports and statistical information in accordance with company and project requirements.
Reporting of notifiable occurrences to Health and Safety Executive.
Advise company management of changes in the requirements of HSE legislation.
Provide and present induction training programmes and records of attendees.
Observe safety behaviours of all colleagues, developing continual improvement ideas.
Act as direct communication link with the shop floor operatives to develop a continual safety awareness culture.
Assist in recruitment of Site Safety (HS&E) advisor(s) and supervision thereof as necessary.
