A highly successful manufacturing and engineering firm specialising in with operations both here and around the world, my client is seeking to strengthen their UK sales team.
Reporting to the UK Sales Director, you will enjoy a highly autonomous and mobile role, targeting engineering / contracting companies within the; Chemical / Petrochemical, Oil / Gas, Pharmaceutical and Steel industries. Your focus will be building relations with and influencing the senior decision making contacts within the UK head offices of global process-engineering organisations, many of which are based in the North West of England. Key aspects of this role include; generation of business opportunities, preparation of quotations, liaising with key decision makers, agents, & partners both here & overseas.
As the ideal candidate, you will demonstrate a proven track record of sales or business development within the 'process engineering' sector ideally with a strong working knowledge of process control valves, systems and related equipment, and you will have sold both directly and through distributors.

As a leading aerospace supplier to both military and civil aircraft manufacturers, my client is used to the high standards and rigorous demands of their customers. Part of a wider global aerospace engineering group, their success is due in no small part to the accurate and timely delivery of programmes and products to those customers globally. To ensure the continued improvement of these standards within a newly won contract from one of the world's foremost aerospace manufacturers, my client now seeks a highly experienced Programme Manager to fill this newly created post.
The role reports directly in to the UK Programmes Director, and carries full responsibility for this programme from its current concept stage, through to completion in three years time, by when you will have established (and exported to the Far East) an entire production and supply chain facility, delivering high quality components and services to your customer on time and within budget.
As the ideal candidate you will already be a highly professional Programme Manager, with at least five years proven experience, of managing similar successful programmes in a precision engineering environment. You will be well versed in managing; large scale, high value, international multi-disciplinary programmes, in complex matrix style environments. Fully conversant with MS Project

Reporting directly into the UK Programmes Director you will be responsible for the management of twelve projects, all at various timeline stages. Each project houses teams of 3 - 9 people with some projects running consistently in the background, some offering technical challenges (design & Development and Quality) and others with legacy issues that need addressing immediately. You will also be joint responsible for the running of the IPT (Integrated Project Team).
As the ideal candidate you will have excellent organisational skills, be methodical and above all, be flexible and able to constantly manage over ten project teams at a time. Extensive technical engineering knowledge is a pre-requisite and the ability to get the most out of a team of people is just as important. Although academic qualifications are not essential, you will be of degree calibre with well honed Programme Management skills.
