We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, self motivated individual with the skills to perform assembly and test tasks on electronic instrumentation as detailed below. The individual must be willing to work on their own initiative within a small team operating to an ISO 9001 quality system. The role is multifunctional as workload demands, so flexibility within tasks is essential to maximise the business performance.
Role:
• Inspection & quality control of ATEX certified parts & assemblies according to ISO 9001.
• Low volume assembly of level transmitters which will incorporate both mechanical & electronic assembly, wiring & soldering to PCB’s.
• Ensuring compliance to production drawings & assembly instructions.
• Programming & setting of transmitters via HART protocol.
• Basic fault finding & system checking.
• Calibration of finished units using multi-meter, PC & Oscilloscope.
• Recording of test results via PC & production of accompanying certification & test report(s).
Required Competencies / Qualifications;
The successful candidate will be qualified to a recognized standard i.e HNC/Btec Electrical /Electronics.
Have good test equipment knowledge plus a background in a relevant environment.
Ability to work to a recognized workmanship standard i.e. IPC610D.
They will also need to have dexterity skills as components & sub-assemblies are relatively small. A background in a quality controlled environment is also preferable. An understanding of computer operation will also be needed with competency in Microsoft office.
This is a contract for 12-18 months to start.
