From a background in the Health & Social Care Sector (particularly working with the elderly), you will actively promote the benefits of learning when in the company of learners and clients alike.
You will be responsible for building learner numbers in your region, by carrying out business development activities as part of your duties.
You will manage a caseload of up to 50 learners in your region, coaching them towards a nationally recognised qualification as part of a full apprenticeship award
Because of the nature of the vacancy, the chosen candidate should possess the following, although all applications will be considered fairly:
A recognised Assessors Award A teaching qualification is desirable (PCGE, PTLLS)
Experience in the delivery of Key Skills
A full driving licence and access to your own transport
Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous
The role:
As the chosen candidate you will:
* Induct learners onto learning programmes
* Prepare and review assessment plans in line with company KPIs
* Provide feedback to employers on a regular basis
* Deliver Key Skills/Functional Skills as part of learning program
* Attend and contribute to regular team meetings
* Agree to uphold your own Continued professional Development by attending regular training in line with company expectations
* Liaise regularly with the Internal Verifier, keeping them informed of issues relating to learners and their expected achievement dates
* Carry out regular assessment of learner professional competency in the workplace.
* Complete all necessary company records in line with requirements
* Actively promote the benefits of learning in the field, promoting the services of the company in a positive manner.

Our client, a nationwide training provider is urgently looking to recruit a Skills for Life Tutor to work with adult learners in a purpose built learning environment.
The Role:
* You will implement basic skills training assisting learners to achieve qualifications from entry level 1 to level 2
* Carry out the initial assessment process with all potential learners and complete appropriate documentation.
* Encourage and motivate the learner toward the completion of the Initial Assessment.
*Implement an Individual Learning Plan with each learner assessing, monitoring and reviewing when necessary
* Responsible for all learners participating in the programme liaising closely with workplace managers to ensure goals are achieved
* Participate in training sessions and meetings – internal and external
* Support learners in progressing on to further training
* Adopt and adhere to company policies
The Person
* Proven experience in a similar role would be highly advantageous.
* A teaching qualification such as DTLLS, PTTLS, PGCE or equivalent
* Experience of working in a target driven environment is desirable. Working to strict deadlines will form a large part of this role.
