A Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Technician is required for a well established manufacturing company based in the Cradley Heath area. Responsible for providing electrical and mechanical repair / maintenance to a range of foundry equipment, used to manufacture products for Rolls Royce, Aerospace and marine industries. Permanent contract, working rotating shifts of 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm Mon to Fri. Salary is between 28 - 32.5K dependent on skills and experience. Full duties include - Providing multi skilled maintenance to a range of machinery, plant and site facilities Working on induction furnaces, casting machines, machine shop manual and CNC lathes / millers / borers, overhead cranes, paint shop sprayers and general site plant Providing electrical repairs to machine panels, inductotherm duel track up to 750KW, rewiring and replacing parts as required Fault finding, assessing breakdowns to repair accordingly Working to PPM schedules as well as reacting to breakdowns occurring Mechanical repairs to shafts, gearboxes, motors, pumps, valves, roller and floor spinners MIG welding and fabrication to machine frames and bases Installation of new plant or equipment as required Overseeing sub-contract engineers on site to ensure work is completed effectively Ordering of spares and consumables used within the maintenance departmentApplicants MUST hold a City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in mechanical maintenance, and also hold a 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regs. A strong background within foundries is advantageous, however heavy industry experience would also be relevant. Applicants MUST be able to fault find and possess as good understanding of control panels on machinery, experience with CNC machinery again is a distinct advantage. The company work on a 24hr operation, so candidates MUST be prepared to cover emergency call outs when required, services paid additionally. Saturdays & occasional Sundays are open for overtime to be worked if offered. The position is a permanent contract, working shifts of 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday. Salary for the position is between 28 - 32.5K per annum, but is negotiable dependent on relevant skills and experience. 25 days holiday + 8 statutory bank holidays available.
