The Role We have a requirement for a care and support worker to support a young boy with cerebral palsy in the Melton Mowbray area of Leicestershire area on a part time basis. The hours required are 6-7.30pm Monday to Friday (not Thurs), 6.30-8pm Sunday, 9am-4pm Saturday and 9-10am Sunday. The support required ranges from assistance with washing, dressing, mealtimes in addition to play and activities. Additional hours may also be available with other local families requiring support. Full training and support is given to all new workers. The Role We have a requirement for a care and support worker to support a young boy with autism and epilepsy in the Market Harborough area of Leicestershire area on a part time basis. The hours required are 2 waking nights each week to monitor his seizures, allowing his parents to sleep and also morning support before school. The waking nights will be from 10pm to 8am, normally on a Monday and a Thursday although these days are flexible. Morning support is needed between 7-8am on weekday mornings. Additional hours are also purchased with direct payments for play and activity support and further hours are also available with other local families requiring support. The Person - You must have some relevant experience providing personal care to vulnerable service users - You will ideally have experience working with children or adults with disabilities - You will be a patient, caring and compassionate individual who respects the dignity and diversity of our service users - You will be willing to participate in further training in order to develop your skills as a support worker - You will be a car driver and have access to your own vehicle All applicants will be required to attend a registration interview, provide a minimum of two referees and also have a new Enhanced DBS check completed.
