Key Deliverables:

• Promote the GMSL Offshore Liaison capability to new and existing customers and coordinate with Sales Managers to identify new opportunities as well as representing Global Marine company interests at relevant industry forums, e.g. UK Cable Protection Committee, and attend Marine/Fishing trade shows, taking an active role in influencing policy and decision-making.
• Responsibility for Global Offshore Liaison lessons learnt within project operations, and onward communication cross company, as well as developing other initiatives, to implement continuous improvement in quality of delivery and efficiency.
• Identify spot maintenance opportunities and assist in providing innovative proposals.
• Maintenance Agreement Contracts billing and administration deliverables and liaising with necessary Global Marine departments to ensure that adequate resources are provided for the envisaged repair scope of work.
• Carry out detailed repair risk assessments, prepare risk response planning in liaison with other stakeholders and manage repair operations within agreed Commercial and Operational KPI’s

• Undertake the worldwide delivery of my clients Apprenticeship and Security programmes of training and or assessment.

• When not deployed you will be required to work at the Business Support Centre in Andover for administrative purposes, competency training and in support of wider company business interests.

The successful candidate will assist in the Company’s internal repair processes as required. This role involves off shore support to all Sonar System’s support programmes as and when required, with dedicated support and specific focus on an assigned project or system

This is not a typical Off Shore Engineer role where the employee spends 4 weeks on site and 4 weeks home etc., this person will be based at the Greenford office and will only be expected to fulfill short term assignments off shore, these will typically last between 3 to 4 days at a time. Assignments will be worldwide and off site allowances will be given.

Roles and Responsibilities
• To install, commission, service and repair a range of USBL/LBL and DGNSS based positioning system products on customer premises/vessels worldwide, ensuring maximum levels of customer satisfaction are achieved and maintained at all times
• To manage all customer relationships pro-actively, through detailed updates of work carried out.
• To submit thorough and regular supporting documentation i.e. Visit Reports etc on completion of offshore assignments
• To identify new opportunities and customer service initiatives to the company through observation and direct liaison with customers during scheduled visits or trouble-shooting activities.
• As directed by the Trials Team Leader; liaison with the customer, subcontractors and end users on first line technical and operational aspects of the assigned system.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the Instructor scheduling of all MOS courses, technical elements of the Foundation Courses and other activities at the NGSS in accordance with agreed Annual Training Schedule (ATS) as directed by the Head of Training Delivery .
• Be prepared to personally carry out elements of SANG technician training in the event of instructor shortfalls. Subjects may include Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH), Digital Microwave Radio Systems (DMRS), Crypto, Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT), High Frequency (HF), Motorola TETRA Secure Mobile Radio (SMR) and Communications Principles.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for at least 4 of the following DMRS, SDH, Crypto, VSAT, HF, SMR and Communications Principles.
• To assist in the installation, repair and maintenance of technical equipment relating to the primary subjects within the school.
• Advise the Training Development Team (TDT) on the development of Instruction courses for Equipment Training and the development of instructional materials for the ETD disciplines.
• Maintain close liaison and cooperation with other Departments within the NGSS in order to keep abreast of course planning developments.
• Lead a professional, well motivated and credible teaching team, set ambitious but achievable targets for team members and report their performance against them.
• Advise Training Delivery Manager on equipment and training matters including new educational developments in both UK and Middle East (ME), purchases of equipment, training aids and books.
• Assist as directed in the selection of SANG students for entry to the MOS phase of their training.
• Implement tests in accordance with the Programme of Instruction (POI), plan and prepare regular reports on student’s performance and make recommendations upon their suitability for further training.
• To develop and maintain good working relationships with the National Guard Assistant Instructors.
• Maintain and develop a positive approach to ‘Sangisation’.
• Liaise with other departments as directed by the Training Delivery Manager.
• Carry out any other duties as directed by Training Delivery Manager

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION (Knowledge and Experience):
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent is essential and with at least 3-5 years’ experience in appropriate organisation.
• Desirable to have a recognised instructional/teaching qualification.
• Computer literacy is essential with specific knowledge of Microsoft Windows (MS) Office applications.
• A current driving license.
• Fluency in Arabic is desirable

Position Overview:

This is a demanding position requiring the incumbent to work in an environment of conditions varying between exceptionally hot and dusty to temperatures below freezing. The incumbent will be physically fit and able to work continuously in these extreme conditions. Afghanistan is recovering from armed conflict and is considered a “war-torn” country. While hostilities have diminished, foreign military armaments, particularly land mines, are present throughout the country.

Structure:
The firefighter reports to Platoon Chief/Deputy Platoon Chief and has no direct reports.

Specific Accountabilities:
• performs in a professional manner to prevent damage, or unnecessary physical or financial loss to Fire Department equipment and materials;
• is familiar with safety regulations, in particular, the safety regulations pertaining to the Fire Services and operations;
• drives and operates fire fighting apparatus and utility vehicles;
• removes personnel from an area of high risk to an area of relative safety,
• executes fire extinguishing procedures,
• conducts fire inspections;
• conducts training for non-fire fighting personnel and various organized groups
• takes action as required by SOP’s; as well as complies with Fire Department policy;
• returns equipment to a state of normal stand-by readiness after every use, and
• participates in fire fighting training activities; maintaining fire fighting rescue tools (manual & power), as well as maintains portable pumps;
• participates in the Fire Prevention and Life Safety inspections, testing and maintenance of all fixed or portable extinguishing or detection systems, fire apparatus, and water distribution systems
• performs all other duties that the PC/DPC deem necessary to the operation;
• maintains a physical fitness standard as required by Fire Services policy;
• maintains a high level of cooperation between peers, subordinates and supervisors;

Educational and Experience Requirements:
Qualified to;
• NFPA 1001: Fire fighter Qualifications or Equivalent;
• Hold a driving license to drive a heavy/large vehicle up to and including 38tons.

• NFPA 1003: Airport Firefighter/ARFF Driver operator or Equivalent;

Dimensions:
The Emergency Vehicle Technician plays a key role in the following activities:

• Following all health & safety standards and procedures set by AFE;

• Attend courses to meet the needs of Technicians relative to the demands of a diversified fleet;
• To attend coaching and mentoring sessions as required to develop his technical abilities and strong points
• Perform repairs and adjustments on Emergency Response Vehicles in accordance with established policy and procedures.
• Identify and source parts and supplies required for all facets of repair and maintenance on Emergency Response Vehicles.
• Maintain work order and parts records on all maintenance activities.
• Generate Preventive Maintenance Schedules in accordance with established procedures by AFE, COMKAF and other governing bodies.
• Maintain Preventive Maintenance and corrective maintenance records with procedures established by AFE, COMKAF and other governing bodies.
• Serve as the default QA/QC on site representative for Quality of work completed (Self inspection of work completed prior to final inspection of work for release)

Educational & Experience Requirements:

The Emergency Vehicle Technician shall have the following knowledge, skills, and qualifications;

• Good, working knowledge of all types of Emergency Response Vehicles to include;
1. Fire & Rescue Vehicles
2. Ambulances.
• Minimum Five (5) years experience in the Emergency Vehicle Technician field.

• Review failures associated with systems, equipment / SCEs within discipline and lead or participate in associated investigations / Root Cause Analysis.
• Represent MONS on various external industry bodies with the purpose of keeping abreast of best industry practice, technical issues, new and revised legislation and guidance.
• Carry out regular installation site visits to liaise with offshore personnel.
• Develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships with key stakeholders e.g. OIMs, Installation Teams, Discipline Section Heads, Project Managers etc. and hold regular feedback meetings with these stakeholders.
Through these activities the Technical Authority contributes to the company main objective of ensuring its Integrity is maintained in a safe, efficient and consistent manner ensuring timely project deliverables at minimum cost as well as maintaining production.

Minimum Qualifications
• Relevant Engineering Degree within Discipline
• Preferable Chartered Engineer

Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Experience
• Extensive relevant experience with significant Operational Engineering or Support role will be preferable.
• Preferable to have experience of ageing assets.
• Good understanding of offshore operations.
• Knowledge of associated technical/engineering disciplines such as Instrument & Control, Mechanical and Electrical.
• Familiar with UK industry regulations relating to the oil and gas industry and of dealing with HSE, DECC and industry workgroups.
• Effective relationship-builder at all levels, internally and externally.
• Effective communicator both written and verbal.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The New Business team is the primary interface to the customer (UK MOD and SANG) for all new business activities and is responsible for creating through-life, value for money solution proposals at minimal risk to the Company. The Bid Manager has the following responsibilities:

* Ensure efficient use of Company resources to deliver:
1. Timely, value for money, acceptable proposals.
2. Design-reviewed and tender vetted proposals in line with Company and Customer governance procedures and commercial practice.
3. Continuous and high level of Customer satisfaction.
4. Company Order Book with appropriate Sales opportunities.
* Fully accountable for appropriate contribution to Order book.
* Creation of co-operative working relationships with UK MOD programme team and sub-contractors.
* To assist in identifying and evaluating new SANGCOM business opportunities, and in defining and implementing policy and future strategy.

CONTACT WITH OTHERS (Internal/External/Meetings):

The Bid Manager is an important representational role for the company. The post-holder will be expected to manage effective business relationships with a wide stakeholder group including officers from the SANG and the UK MOD, together with international suppliers and sub-contractors at senior management level.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION (Knowledge & Experience):
ESSENTIAL
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
* Sound understanding of bid management and commercial practice.
* Proven track record of delivering successful bids.
* Sound knowledge and experience of managing budgets.
* Recognised Project Management qualification.
* Customer relationship experience.
* Strong standard of written and spoken English

DESIRABLE
* Business experience in C4ISTAR or fixed communications infrastructure.
