My client seek an experienced Engineering Inspector for an immediate start. You will be working for a world wide organisation who have a broad industry profile.
The following duties are what can be expected from this busy role.
*Responsible for component inspection and test including first-offs.
*Support and monitor in-process ?Approved Operator? self-inspection scheme.
*Carry out ERP (Baan) ?Post to Inventory? transaction.
*Goods receiving inspection ?approval? transaction techniques.
*Identifying and reporting of non-conformance.
*Determining compliance of rework orders with defined corrective actions.
*Maintain Calibration system.
*Carry out in-house calibration of gauges and test equipment, and initiate subcontract calibration in liaison with Purchasing Team.
*Provide quality input to production activities, and support to Production Team.
*Gather and analyze Nonconformance-related data and submission to Quality Manager.
Formal qualifications in a field of manufacturing will be expected. The ability to see clearly and think objectively is essential and excellent experience in the use of inspection equipment will be required.

You will ideally have worked within a wood working environment, experience of machining would be advantageous but not essential. You will be a team player but more importantly a motivator, able to drive people to meet production targets and offer guidance when necessary.
