As one of four members of their specialist Asset Strategy team, the UK Market Modelling Manager will be accountable for the comprehensive strategic analysis of the UK wholesale electricity market. They will be expected to deliver pragmatic, innovative ideas and hypotheses, produce trends and recommend opportunities for growth or change across the company.
The UK Market Modelling Manager will conduct strategic analysis to support the initiation or execution of projects, undertake competitor analysis as well as value chain analysis, both qualitatively and quantitatively, as well as seeking opportunities to grow the business or improve the current situation through mergers and acquisitions. They will then present findings to senior managers and key stakeholders and work collaboratively to secure their buy-in to the suggested courses of action.
Candidates will need an impressive track record of relevant experience, either in the energy industry or as a consultant. Qualified to degree level in a numerate subject, you will be a gifted analyst and modeller with a proven ability to investigate and quantify broad strategic questions using complex models. You will have demonstrable experience of analysing and structuring the energy market & value chain. You will also be able to demonstrate the gravitas to engage board level contacts in challenging discussions.
