Technical Consultant SALARY £30-40,000
Location: London or Paris
Summary:
Working as Technical Consultant in the Implementation Services arm of the Professional Services team means that you will be actively engaged in some of the most complex and challenging large scale Identity Assurance deployments in the world. You will work in a dynamic environment involving customers as well as members from the worldwide Professional Services team and other departments.
The ideal candidate will be working in multiple project teams consisting of Project Managers and Technical Consultants with the main focus to design, integrate, deploy and test Identity Assurance solutions based on company products. Project delivery will follow proven methodologies.
Essential Duties:
Develop integration components between products and third party systems leveraging documented APIs and SDKs.
Deploy test and document products in all supported target environments. Provide training and ongoing technical support to customers during project delivery. Attend workshops and deliver documentation during the requirements analysis, gap analysis and solution definition phases of projects. Carry out accreditation audits of deployed solutions.
Job Requirements:
Strong communication skills in verbal and written English. Dynamic hard working team player with a lot of drive and initiative. Strong documentation skills. Java and/or C++ development skills. Understanding of the project lifecycle. Understanding of software development methodologies, prototyping tools and languages. Understanding of system and network components such as PKI (MS CA, Verisign, Entrust), LDAP (Microsoft AD, Sun, DirX), Databases (MS SQL, Oracle), Web applications (IIS, Tomcat, Websphere), Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris), network protocols (SSL/TLS, VPN, IPSec, RDP, RADIUS), network security (firewalls, DMZ), Access Control (logical and physical), Smart Cards, etc.
Understanding of how IT security products are applied in the market to address areas such as authentication, electronic signing of transaction, Single Sign On, authorization, non-repudiation, encryption, etc.
Understanding of industry standards and compliance initiatives such as FIPS201 (PIV), EMV, OATH, X.509, Common Criteria, PCI, SOX, etc.
Understanding of large scale IT deployment needs in areas such as disaster recovery, high availability, performance, audit, solution deployment testing phases, change control procedures, etc.
BSc. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Strong industry experience is preferable.
