Role Description:
My client are seeking an experienced Channel Account Manager to work from our prestigious new worldwide headquarters in Reading, Berkshire to promote the sale of our flagship product and services amongst our expanding list of partners globally.
Reporting to the VP Worldwide Sales, the Channel Account Manager will be responsible for new business development supporting existing channel partners with their end-customers and also extending our portfolio of partners in key indirect sales regions – particularly countries in Northern Europe – DACH and Benelux regions. The role will naturally develop towards a mix of new business development, account retention and account management to extend out the organisation’s profile in the marketplace.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years sales experience working within the software industry with a successful track record in developing new partners, closing new business via partners, new business development, account management and setting-up/extending a channels model. You should be competent with MS office tools, using the internet and have experience of using a CRM system (ideally Salesforce).
With your positive 'can do' attitude, you will maintain an articulate and detailed understanding of our partners’ customer plans and be technically aware of existing solutions and new business opportunities.
The successful Channel Account Manager MUST have very strong verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work off their own initiative and be able to show a solid track record working within a sales environment. Foreign language skills (particularly German) would be a significant advantage. Finally the candidate should be able to show consistent sales revenue achievement, ability to work to KPI's and be target motivated.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to help grow the business and progress with the internally as the company matures.
Requirements:
• You need to have an aptitude towards IT and technology with the drive and passion to learn more
• Experience in a high call volume telephone environment.
• Experience of working in a focused/determined environment and dealing with the associated pressure
• Good communication and inter-personal skills
• Knowledge of systems management software and/or other business software experience
• A minimum of 2 years successful channel sales experience in a technology field
• Additional language skills (particularly German) would be a significant advantage
You must be a high energy self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and comfortable working within a framework of objectives without the need for day to day guidance and direction. This position may involve some travel to client and partner offices both within and outside of the UK.

CLIENT
My client is a medium sized engineering consultancy specialising in the design and project management of the build of decommissioning and waste management facilities.

DESCRIPTION
The Principal Engineer is principally a design delivery role from a technical perspective working across a multi-disciplined design team. The Principal Engineer is usually responsible for delivering the design within their own discipline with frequent liaison / management of engineers within the design team from other disciplines. The Principal Engineer also provides technical guidance and imparts knowledge to Senior Engineers, Lead Engineers, Design engineers, Graduates and Designers.

DUTIES
• Ensure work areas and designs are Safe (SHE)
• Act as Senior Design professional in relevant discipline
• Ensure Compliance with Design Process
• Resource Management and Line Management within discipline group
• Support M&S and MPD in winning new business
• Oversee design delivery for selected projects
• Business Combinations
• Radiological Protection

QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree qualified in a relevant technical / engineering discipline is essential. Chartered Engineer status is normal for this position and is largely driven by client expectations

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• Demonstrable competence gained in a design delivery position within a project based environment.
• Demonstrable competence gained at a Senior Engineer position.
• Experience in the nuclear sector is essential. It is also a requirement of the position to demonstrate experience gained in a design delivery role ideally from a highly regulated industry. This could be from but is not limited to the Defence, Pharmaceutical or Oil & Gas sectors
• Experience of incell piping or grout plant delivery would be a distinct advantage
• Experience and/or ability of leading a technical team within a professional project delivery environment are necessary for this position

My client is a nuclear specialist, covering both civilian and defence sectors, across the complete lifecycle from new build, through operations and maintenance, to final decommissioning and waste management. They are currently seeking a Bid Manager to join our team at Risley.

The Bid Manager is responsible for leading, managing and developing technically, commercially and organisationally complex tenders.

Duties:

• Management of bid teams and effective control of budget, ensuring adherence to pre-agreed strategies
• Preparation and submission of tender and prequalification returns
• Liaison with clients and subcontractors.
• Contribute to bid/no bid decisions
• Assist the Business Development Managers in compiling winning bid strategies
• Ensure that costs put forward by operational departments are reasonable and approved for use.
• The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate energy, purpose and commitment to maintaining the effectiveness of the tendering operation. They will be comfortable and capable of working under pressure and to immoveable deadlines. Influencing and gaining agreement of stakeholders will be crucial to their success. An analytical, commercial and thorough approach to work is essential.

Required Qualifications:

Required Experience:

Bid participation in a similar environment
Technical or commercial background in a related industry.
Technical report writing
Ability to deal with ambiguity

MS Project or P3 Planning with the ability to interpret programmes
Working knowledge of the NEC 3 suite of contract conditions
