Preferable requirements:

1. Knowledge of databases and SQL

REPORTING TO: Works Supervisor

PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION: Mechanical and electrical corrective/preventive maintenance and routine servicing of all equipment on site

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Breakdowns - repair of machines and equipment .
2. Carry out routine servicing and preventive maintenance.
3. Liaising with and arranging outside contractors, where appropriate.
4. Stock control of spare parts.
5. Liaising with suppliers and ordering parts where required.
6. Maintaining appropriate maintenance records.
7. Participation in maintenance review meetings
8. General / Miscellaneous maintenance duties

EQUIPMENT AREA

1. High speed mixers
2. Twin screw extruders
3. Dryers
4. Pelletisers
5. Classifiers
6. Feeding and dosing equipment
7. Extraction units
8. Conveying equipment
9. General factory
10. General building

REQUIRMENTS

1. Qualified / time served in mechanical and electrical engineering
2. Experience of working within a (plastics) manufacturing operation would be beneficial

CONDITIONS

Hours of work – 6.00am – 2.00pm Mornings & 2.00pm – 10.00pm Afternoons.
The appointed person must be flexible as the position will involve call outs, weekdays and weekends.

Working week - 8 hour shift including 2 x 30 minute unpaid break = 7 hours X 5 days = 35 hour paid week

Overtime paid at 1.33

Company pension scheme available after 3 months of permanent employment, 10% non-contributory

Holidays – 20 days plus statutory holidays
