A European leader in the production of personal care products has identified a requirement for an experienced Production Manager to be based at their West Yorkshire operation.
Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager, your main function as Engineering Technician / Maintenance Engineer is to deliver effective Maintenance & Technical engineering support to the Factories Departments through continuous planned maintenance and line improvements, utilising the engineering teams.
Your key duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
To continually implement and improve an effective system of asset care within the business targeting key equipment that will deliver improvements in line performance.
Control the general day to day workload and ensure the best deployment of the engineering employees throughout the business. To include the enhancement of individuals within the team.
Undertake engineering appraisals of all equipment produce and or analyse data in order to identify and quantify causes of inefficiencies/poor performance and implement robust solutions. Contribute to the site asset condition register to assist in identifying areas for investment
Participate within the Production management team in the quality improvement process so that problems are tackled systematically and eliminated through continuous improvement.
Manage designated sections of the engineering budget ensuring that spend is effectively used and monitored. Contribute to the budgeting process.
Review all machinery in Service supply or Process areas with regard to usage. Recommend improvements in Plant machinery utilisation, which include product quality and output by investigating line problems with the production teams contribute to the role out of continuous improvement
To be considered for this position you will possess and be able to demonstrate the following:
Must be a Time served engineer with electrical and / or mechanical background.
Must be able to demonstrate Engineering support skills / experiences within a production manufacturing environment.
Must be able to demonstrate skills in continuous improvement within engineering and line performance.
Must have good communication skills, verbal and written.
Must have organisational and leadership skills.
Must have experience of analysing and monitor data to ensure manufacturing efficiencies and productivity are maintained to a high level, including systems management.
Must have experience of planned maintenance systems and workings, including the keeping of up-to-date records of the equipment being maintained in-conjunction with company standards and legislation. Analyse efficiency of plant and recommendations for improvements.
Must have experience of work permits including hot, cold, height, and can demonstrate control.
Must have experience of the supervision of engineering teams and outside contractors including the inspection and control of work permits, method statements, insurance, and training certificates.

Our Client is looking to appoint a Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer, working a continental shift pattern, who will report to the Electrical Engineering Manager.
The Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer will be expected to provide maintenance to High Speed, High Quality production lines that vary in equipment and process, and will work within a team of other maintenance engineers to provide this support to ten production lines.
The main responsibilities will be:-
General and electrical maintenance of production lines using SAP PM.
Use Continuous Improvement as a tool for improving the equipments output and quality.
To be compliant with Health and Safety policy.
The types of machinery and equipment you will be involved with are:-
Sidel, Krones and Stork vertical filling machines.
Krones and Kosmi labelling machines.
Ocmi, Kister and Smi packaging machines.
Ocmi, Newtech and Shaferer palletisers.
Octopus Wrapping machines.
Various air and mechanical conveyors.
Siemens S5, S7 300 and S7 400 PLC's.
You will need to hold the relevant electrical qualifications - City and Guilds, HNC/ONC or Higher, and have hands on electrical maintenance experience in a FMCG environment.
The initial annual salary for this position is in the region of £30,000, dependant on experience, which has the potential to increase through multi-skilling and progression through the grades.

CNC Setter / Operator Brighouse Permanent Night Shift Position
An industry leader in their specific field, are looking to add an experienced CNC Setter / Operator, to work a permanent nights shift, to their expanding team. This role will be based at their new manufacturing facility in Brighouse, in easy reach of the M62 motorway and links to Huddersfield, Halifax, Leeds and Bradford.
As a CNC setter / operator, you will be responsible for the setting and operating of modern CNC lathes with responsibility of checking and ensuring the quality of your work.
To be considered for this position, you will possess and be able to demonstrate the following:
Experience of setting and operating CNC metal machining 2 axis lathes
A good knowledge of Fanuc control systems
The ability to read engineering drawings
An understanding of both imperial and metric measurement systems
Experience of using a wide range of inspection equipment
The ability to edit programmes of Fanuc controlled equipment
You will be working 4 nights, Monday to Thursday, on a permanent night shift between 8pm & 6am. For which you can expect to earn an hourly rate of £14.15 per hour, inclusive of shift allowance. In addition to this you can expect the opportunity of overtime, free on-site parking, a conditional Sick pay scheme, contributory Pension Scheme and a holiday allowance of 20 days per annum plus statutory days.
