The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for the effective management of the Northern sales team to deliver above-target sales performance of this scientific instrumentation distributor. The RSM will be fully responsibility for measurement, monitoring and reporting and will work closely in conjunction with Sales Development Manager (SDM) to deliver training, development, mentoring and motivational content to the sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to National Sales Manager (NSM):
Manage direct reports consistently and in line with the sales plan;
Target setting with Sales Director and NSM;
Ensure effective campaign implementation – measurement, reporting and resulting actions;
Manage adherence to company processes such as the use of Viewpoint;
Recruit and retain class leading performers to the sales team, in conjunction with NSM;
Manage ongoing appraisal processes, in conjunction with NSM;
Contribute significantly to the sales planning process;
Sales force monitoring and resulting activity (Reward scheme management, performance management);
Regular reporting and review at the sales management team meeting;
Specific customer based projects to be agreed;
Other reasonable activities as requested by the NSM.
