The post holder will work a shift pattern to support the needs of the sites, which they service, prioritising workloads in the absence of a line manager in line with policy and procedural guidelines. Will provide cover at other locations in the event of annual leave, sickness or operational requirements, changing shifts and working bank holidays to provide support services for general day-to-day duties.
The post holder will work as part of a team and must have the ability to work without supervision using their own initiative to resolve problems and to deal with emergencies and reacting to requests from control room, properties and line managers effectively and professionally. Make sure policies are adhered to in relation to transportation of products. The post holder will have considerable knowledge of DIY and able to deal with routine enquiries and requests, also supervising deliveries and making sure the correct Sites/Departments are notified to prevent loss. The post holder will, where applicable, receive training/or have qualification in grounds maintenance. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge and proven experience of DIY and/or Trade qualification. Knowledge and experience in the use and maintenance of plant and equipment. Must have experience of meeting deadlines when working within time constraints and under pressure. Experience and/or be willing to be trained in Microsoft Office applications, ie. Word and Outlook.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must possess a full car driving licence Must be able to work as part of a small team. Must be able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.

Main duties and responsibilities:

The individual will need strong written and communication skills. It is essential that they have a sound knowledge of employment law and experience of developing HR Policies. The individual must be pragmatic in approach with the ability to influence at all levels up to senior management and officers. It will be essential that the individual has the ability to recognise risk to the organisation and provide guidance on minimising said risks.
