You must have experience of electro mechanical assembly skills which rage from building and wiring chassis assemblies including filing, machining, drilling and fitting sockets and plugs etc. In addition there is an element of electronic assembly, cable form wiring, pipe bending and the wiring of all manner of electrical plugs and sockets. There is a degree of installation of PCB assemblies and wiring of conventional components which require good soldering skills.
Testing and calibration of finished assembles to a written specification is also part of the required skill set and this may involve working with chemicals in a laboratory.

Our client are a Business Process Outsourcer located near the Northern Perimeter of Heathrow Airport. A fourth party logistics supplier to the international travel sector.
Purpose of role:
Provide a central support role for selected customers. Co-ordinate product supply and maximising availability through timely and accurate inventory level forecasting. Develop strong customer relationships ensuring a high level of efficiency and service. Develop logistics solutions with the sales teams
Day to day responsibilities with minimal supervision of the following:

Accountabilities:
1.Inventory Management & Supplier Partnership *To order inventory of products against forecasted usage, having regard to menu cycles, minimum order quantities, lead time requirements, shelf life of products and company stock targets. *Maintain stocks in appropriate warehouse to service all units as dictated by individual customers import restrictions and to maximise transport efficiencies. *Optimise freight inwards costs and regularly review alternative haulier opportunities. *To communicate daily with suppliers and third party warehouse to monitor and control product ordering, shipping/airfreight schedules, minimum quantities and delivery dates.
*To monitor daily outstanding purchase order reports to verify stock receipts and product arrival and ensure customer order completion. *To facilitate warehouse procedures with regards to any product delivered outside agreed QC specification. *To investigate reasons for and maintain detailed records of stock discrepancies and write-offs, including quality control issues. *Manage direct deliveries from supplier to customer.
Forecasting and Sales Analysis *To prepare rolling stock forecast through liaison with Sales Directors, airline and caterers, utilising flight schedule and passenger forecast data. *Analyse product sales history against forecast using Inventory & Forecasting System to optimise stock levels and maximise sales opportunities to individual caterers. *Prepare sales analysis reports highlighting variance from forecast *Provide data and recommendations to airline concerning off-cycle or discontinued product utilisation.
2.Customer Services *Provide central contact point to caterers and airlines to provide timely and accurate information and investigation/resolution of daily issues *Notification to caterers of all new menu pricing and order sheets. *Review of all orders through web ordering (e-pix/IFX) *Liaison with caterer to ensure timely ordering of nominated product in line with airline menu and flight schedules. *Regular courtesy calls to caterers/airlines to check status and any additional service/support required. *Visit caterers as required, in liaison with Sales Directors, to resolve issues or build relationships *Commercial approach to maximising sales opportunities and optimising distribution
Required Skills:
*Graduate with strong IT skills (including Excel) *Inventory management and customer service experience *Strong communication skills *An additional European language (German or French preferred) but not essential *Team player who must be able to work to deadlines in a high pressure environment
