This employer is based near Hoddesdon and seeking the ideal candidate who will be available to start in February in an office based analytical and strategic role. You will be responsible for ensuring Inventory process and procedures are adhered to and team tasks are carried out in conformity. To undertake a number of administrative roles including raising of purchase orders and liaising with warehouse over slow moving and obsolete stock and updating MS Excel spreadsheet

The ideal applicant will be available to start in February and able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of inventory control (office based) and, preferably, using systems like SAP. It will be an advantage if you are familiar with trend analysis, demand planning and forecasting to manage the stock levels and future ordering of product from suppliers. The role requires a candidate to work on their own initiative, to be able to follow up on orders, shipping orders working with the vendor and being able to merge a suite of vendors. Managing a group of parts, having the knowledge to check them against the system and identify the quantity and the need to order. Liaising with various other countries with regards to stock quantity in their warehouses, and identifying if more stock is required. Translating this information into a forward plan. Confirming the date the vendor received products. Space awareness of stock. Strong communication skills are required for this role, contacting relevant departments and Managers in relation to products/orders/quantities/prices/ etc.
