Job Purpose

Job Summary:

The Centre Finance Manager will play the key role in managing the finances and budget of this centre at the University.

Working to the Chief Finance and Administration officer, the post holder will provide financial support to the Department. The Finance Manager will also ensure that the financial management of all areas of the Centre activity, including the country offices, is undertaken in compliance with these regulations and terms and conditions. Liaison with an International Development organisation as the main sponsor of the Centre and all partner organisations to ensure effective management of the financial reporting process. Maintaining regular contact with finance staff in the International Development organisation to ensure reporting requirements are being met satisfactorily.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

*Support and Coordinate arrangements for the College's annual cycle of Quality Assurance in relation to all partnership activity.
*Develop systems and procedures to track and monitor quality assurance activities and outcomes across the partnership provision.
*To audit, in line with the Colleges annual plan all aspects of partnership provision and services against agreed SLA's and prepare data/documentation / administrative support to the individuals or wider teams involved.
*To take a flexible and responsive approach to the generation of accurate management information and to fulfil the requirements of the funding methodology, particularly relating to the accuracy and inputting of data returns.
*Collate information, prepare management reports and documentation regarding the quality of partnership provision, and where requested cross College quality assurances processes.

The client has an in house file maker database which will be shown but you must have some experience of working on a database system. The presentation of letters and accuracy are vital so someone that proof reads their work.

Attention to detail is crucial along with being able to plan own time and be very well organised. There will be a Training day on the 23rd May with the permanent secretary. And there are then dates for May and June so far. The hours are 9 to 5 with 1 hours lunch (lunch is provided) hours can be a little flexible.
