Due to a expansion our client is seeking a capable supply chain expert to strengthen an extablished team. Reporting to the UK Supply Chain Director, success in the role will depend on the candidate’s ability to draw on their experience in:
Project managing Asian sources from discovery to delivery
Negotiating with suppliers through using automotive benchmark and cost breakdown methods
Structuring MPS and MRP to effectively plan materials to meet demand
Coordinating activities between planning; purchasing and logistics departments to meet the needs of the business
In a dynamic environment, where change is common and timescales are challenging, the candidate will be creative, inspiring and self motivated to achieve the targets.
A relevant degree qualification and experience in developing distant supplier relationships is an essential element of the role along with good language skills (Chinese/Mandarin or Gujarati an advantage).
