A fantastic opportunity has recently become available for a Senior Production Planner to join a Die-casting and Assembly company based in Wolverhampton. Our exclusive client are looking for a Senior Production Planner or a Planner ready to step up to a senior role. Previous planning experience is required as well as experience of using SAP systems. You will be expected to plan and expedite production for assembly and die-casting departments and administer SAP accordingly. Responsibilities • Accurately plan for production all assembly and die-casting orders from within SAP and according to Sales Order and Forecast demand. • Maintain data using SAP • Analyzing production specifications and plant capacity data and perform calculations to determine manufacturing process • Planning and scheduling workflow for each department and operate according to sequences and lead times • Planning sequence of assembly, installation and other manufacturing operations • Prepare production reports • Expedite all open production orders relating to assembly & die-casting. • Communicate progress of orders to all relevant staff. • Closely liase with Customer Services on availability to ship. • Maintain all SAP system activity relating to assembly/die-casting orders. • Maintain SAP production pre settlements for all orders regardless of customer, to ensure inventory accuracy • Coordinate any orders for external processing of goods and process in SAP • Cover for Production Planners on holiday, sickness or when workload dictates. • Perform any other general duties that may be required.
