Typical duties that you would be involved in:
• Development of designs to satisfy technical specifications
• Checking and approving design calculations of designers and other engineers within the team
• Probable lead of design reviews, safety reviews (risk assessments/ HAZOP’s) from technical standpoint within discipline
• Close liaison with client and project team to prepare technical specifications for the design
• Ensure quality and delivery of design documentation throughout the design process including scope of works, method statements, risk assessments, technical files and other technical documentation to comply with design standards, safety legislation/regulatory requirements and the needs of the client
• Management of installation, commissioning and operating documents
• Allocation of work to other members of team in order to ensure delivery of design to quality, time and budget
• Selection, strategy and management of work to sub-contractors

Preferred Candidates would be degree qualified and chartered engineer status, CIBSE, MIMechE

Experience:
• Demonstrable competence gained in a design delivery position within a project based environment
• Experience in the nuclear sector is essential. It is also a requirement of the position to demonstrate experience gained in a design delivery role ideally from a highly regulated industry. This could be from but is not limited to the Defence, Pharmaceutical or Oil & Gas sectors
• Technical experience could be gained from but is not limited to precision engineering, conveyer systems, remote handling systems / equipment, heavy engineering, cranes, pipes and pumps
• Experience of incell piping or grout plant delivery would be a distinct advantage
• Experience and/or ability of leading a technical team within a professional project delivery environment are necessary for this position
• Experience is bid preparation would be preferred although this is not essential

The role of the Engineering Coordinator is to identify, define and coordinate multiple teams, activities and projects and to take on Special Projects.
The Coordinator will help to anticipate problems and develop early solutions and play a key role in ensuring engineering activities are effectively coordinated to ensure safety and reliability.
Responsibilities include: liaising with the all department to ensure that the engineering function is appropriate, undertaken effectively and efficiently.

Activities:
• Conduct regular meetings with the Stake Holders to review status, performance and way forward, including related to interface and Engineering issues.
• Work independently, when required, to research topics and organize results to logically explain the situation, forecast potential issues, offer suite of possible solutions, and prepare a well thought out recommendation(s).
• Capability to react quickly and adapt to new circumstances.
• Possess a sound understanding of a broad range of engineering disciplines; with an ability to logically consider multiple perspectives within an engineering context.

• Act as the single point of contact with the processing and progress chasing of Warranty Issues in writing between the Company Representative and the Contractor Representative by utilizing the Defect / Warranty Claim processes. Acting as site focal point for warrantee assistance, directing and controlling activities to ensure work is adequately prioritised, planned and executed and that objectives are met.
• Communication with vendors regarding warranty issues and assisting the setting up OEM maintenance contracts.
• Provide assistance in incident investigations competent in root cause analysis techniques (RCA), to ensure future problems are not allowed to develop by recommending corrective and preventive actions.
• Produce, maintain and periodically collate information for the production of a suite of monthly, quarterly and annual reports on costs, progress and Departmental activities, including Term Services, which are available for Service Order requesters and management use as appropriate.
• Assist in the implementation of plant projects and maintain technical integrity through proper documentation management, in conjunction with the Document Control Department.

Minimum Requirements:
• HNC in major engineering discipline or equivalent e.g. NQF Level 4/5 engineering competency based.
• Extensive, broad relevant plant or projects experience in industry.
• IT literate and fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite and in particular Microsoft Project.
• Ability to work in a Team as both a leader and player and open to new ideas.

Basic Function and Scope of work:
Plant Engineer performs a variety of maintenance/engineering duties in order to support the plant activities. Responsibilities include the day-to-day process tune-up and engineering work to improve and optimise the facilities. This will involve the day-to-day monitoring of the operation and maintenance of all the sites electrical and mechanical systems, for example installing, commissioning, isolating, maintaining and monitoring a variety of equipment such as pumps, motors, compressors and switchgear, including liaising with the Maintenance Department to ensure that the maintenance functions are appropriate and undertaken effectively. The post holder plays a key role in ensuring plant availability and assisting with continual plant improvements specifically:
• Ensure plant operations maintain compliance with all Regulatory permit constraints
• Optimise plant operations to achieve best in class overall efficiency performance
• Asset management performance improvement within a process engineering environment Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and process-Safety (RAMS).

They are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to participate and support activities in the Quality Assurance Department to ensure that all goods manufactured and services provided meet quality requirements. This position is a full-time permanent post.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the maintenance, management, and organisation of the Quality Assurance department ensuring that departmental objectives are implemented in line with the overall Quality/Corporate goals.
Assist in ensuring departmental understanding and compliance with the requirements of cGMP as applied to the company’s product. As needed, assist in providing training and support to departments. Assist in applications for regulatory approval.
Initiate improvements to the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance to all relevant Quality Standards and Regulatory requirements.
Ensure effective coordination and QA leadership for the site CAPA Team, including initiating investigations, root cause analysis, risk assessments and implementation of change controls and Corrective and Preventive Actions, as appropriate; focus on Continuous Improvement opportunities.
Review and assist in process capability studies and statistical techniques as necessary, to support continuous improvement.
Ensure close liaison with Validation group / team and Analytical Development teams.
Evaluate Non Conformances. Identify corrective and preventive action; determine assignable root cause, complete failure investigations and follow up to corrective and preventive actions, ensuring adequate and timely closure.
Review/document Change Control Requests, ensuring compliance with cGMP and quality standard requirements. Follow-up on recommended actions.
Implement Key Performance Indicators. Review and monitor trends, communicating out-of-norm issues to department management. Contribute to and assist in providing quality system training Company wide.
Prepare and present quality reports, data and Key Performance Indicators to management for review / site and corporate Quality Council meetings.
File/archive quality and manufacturing records.
Review and coordinate packaging and labelling change requests, update regulatory authorities as appropriate.
Close interaction with competent authorities and customer services/marketing personnel ensuring import and export documentation is in place to expedite customer’s orders.
Complete customer requests for documentation information to support quality and regulatory requirements. Provide technical reports as appropriate.
Participate in and support internal and external audit program, and/or other audits as needed. Ensure timely, accurate completion of audits.
Assist in the evaluation of customer complaints, ensuring complaint reports are closed out in accordance with the approved procedure. Work in conjunction with other internal and external departments, staff and customer as needed. Ensure the Director of Quality is informed of the progress of complaints at intervals appropriate to the level of the complaint.
Participate in the development, and maintenance of the Company’s Quality System to meet the requirements of the relevant regulatory authorities, Notified Bodies (if applicable) and ISO standards (as applicable) and all other applicable quality and regulatory standards.
Support other departmental activities as requested by department management or designate.
Ensure that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with Company values.
Carry out other reasonable tasks as required.

Education and Experience

Bachelors/Undergraduate Degree in quality or science discipline (chemistry, biology, or medical technology preferred).
Experience in a drug manufacturing, medical device, or biologics industry in Quality Assurance, Quality Control or Quality Engineering position.
Demonstrated knowledge of document control systems.
Experience with internal and external audit processes desired.
Demonstrated knowledge of cGMPs, MHRA, FDA regulations, and SOP’s.
Demonstrated advanced computer skills - Microsoft Office preferred.
