Job Title: Electrical Controls Design Engineer
Location: West Sussex
Job Type: Contract (may lead to perm)
The Role
An Electrical Controls Design Engineer to design and draw, using Autocad, control systems and panels for high security and anti terrorist products.
The Requirement
The role requires an experienced, well presented Electrical Design Engineer to:
Evaluate electrical and controls requirements from customers order and internal works orders.
Liaise with all departments within company throughout duration of projects, offering technical assistance as required.
Design complete control systems and control panels, including power supply calculations, cable requirements/calculations, component specification.
Produce electrical schematic drawings using Autocad, for control panels to be built and for site system installation.
Supervise control panel assembly department throughout panel build, wiring and testing.
Produce PLC software programs and logic diagrams to work entire control system.
Produce HMI touch screen designs and specify screen installation requirements (cables, Ethernet/RS485 modules etc).
Attend both internal and site project meetings.
Produce all required project documentation including O&M manuals, test certificates etc.
