-This role may suit someone looking for their first Sous chef role from stepping up from a chef de partie level, but they must have the ability to mange the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
Sous chef responsibilities include:
Ordering
Taking food stocks
Ensuring hygiene best practice is followed at all times
Assisting the development of new menus
Controlling of GPs etc
Must have experience at a similar level and be able to show innovation, greater technical skill and consistency and judgement in combing and balancing the very best ingredients.
Your role is the assistant to the head chef in all aspects of food preparation and in running the kitchen and services this includes the efficient ordering of local supplies and stock distribution.
