IDEXX Newmarket who trade as Genera Technologies employ 17 employees in laboratory, manufacturing and support areas.
We are now looking to recruit for a Scientific Research Associate to support research and development activities for new product development and/or product support of existing products. The successful candidate will utilize established mathematical and scientific techniques to compile and analyze data within the scope of standard identifiable factors.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
•Performs laboratory bench work associated with product development or support
•Makes observations, analyzes data and interprets results
•Collects, compiles and organizes information/data for discussion
• Information needed to perform tasks may be available
• Utilizes established methods and procedures
• Documents activities according to established guidelines
• Recognizes areas of improvement
• Plans activities on a short-term basis with senior staff
The successful candidate will have a degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent and will have a passion for working in a research environment. They will have excellent verbal/written communication skills and have an ability to maintain accurate and clear documentation whilst following prescribed documentation. Ideally suited to a graduate looking for their first opportunity.
