We need a site / senior engineer for a project in Plymouth He / she will need to have setting out experience, have worked on structural steel, ideally in an industrial environment – gas, oil, power station etc. or high rise steel frames. The building is 100m long x 20 wide x 25 high, 450 tonne structural steel and quite complex so the engineer will need an eye for detail. Setting out must be precise, using a robotic instrument with lots of checking as work proceeds to keep it on track. Good communicator, to pass drawing & technical information to the construction teams. Quality paperwork, daily diary, paperwork etc. 6 day week with long weekends every 4th weekend.
My client, a very highly regarded Civil Engineering contractor, are looking to recruit a Site Engineer for a project in Shrewsbury. The project is a roads project that has about 4 weeks left to run and needs someone that is competent with a level. This project could then lead onto a further job in Welshpool on a Flood Alleviation scheme and that would last for approx. 20 weeks.
My client, an excellent Regional Civil Engineering Contractor, are looking to recruit a Site Engineer to work on a project in Towcester. The project consists of setting out for Roads, Sewers and Drainage. The project has until March left to run. You will need and valid CSCS Card to work on this site.

The role will be based at their head office in North London, working within the Estimating team on Tenders for projects in the UK and abroad. You will need to have experience of working take-offs and producing spreadsheets. Ideally you will have experience working within the Utilities or Pipelines fields.
Our client, a well regarded multi-disciplinary Construction and Civil Engineering contractor are looking to recruit a Site Engineer to work on a new project in Banbury. The role will be initially setting out for the Earthworks, but then following that more as a checking role monitoring the subcontractors. This role is for around 34 weeks. Ideally you will have a First Aid certificate, and must have a valid CSCS Card.
Civils Sub Agents are required to work for a Regionally based National Contractor on Highways Agency and/or Environment Agency contracts throughout the East and West Midlands and Yorkshire. Experience as a Sub Agent on similar schemes is essential as is a current CSCS card. A First Aid ticket and SMSTS would also be advantageous. Your roles and responsibilities will include: * Preparation of method statements as required. * Organize briefings on method statements to relevant staff and operatives.. * Liaise with Senior Foreman on daily basis issues related with programme, resources, production, productivity necessary to meet with programme requirements * Lead all actions to solve technical difficulties, improve performance in terms of progress and quality. Set working parameters, ensure their application on site, assess the performance. Coordinate the works and ensure consistency of operation * Establish and regularly review the detailed working programme. * Delivers end product to client’s satisfaction * Delivers performance in key areas of health and safety, environment and quality. Implement applicable quality plan requirements. * Implement appropriate policies and procedures. Manage project risk in line with company procedures.
My client, a regional Civil Engineering Contractor, are looking to recruit a Site Manager to work on a new project close to Telford. The project consists of Road Works (widening) as well as junction improvements and a Sheet Piled wall. The start date for the project is the 6th October, but they would like someone to start on the 29th September to go through the drawings and have some lead in time. The project duration is approx 18 weeks.
My client, a nationally recognised Civil Engineering and Construction company are looking to recruit a Senior Engineer/Sub Agent/Site Agent to work on a new site in Birmingham. The project consists of a Steel Frame factory building, including offices and need someone to work alongside the PM to deliver the project. The PM also has another project running at the same time meaning he will be away from site regularly, and this role need someone that is able to control the site and run with things in his absence. You must have experience of working on large 'shed' type projects, and be comfortable managing a site. This is not a setting out role.
My client are a well respected and recognised Contractor who work on a National basis. They are currently looking for a General Foreman to work on a Clean Water site in Norwich for a period of around 6 months. You will be putting the gangs to work, supervising them and reporting to the Site Manager. You must have a CSCS Gold Card to be considered for the role, and if you have previous water experience that would be a distinct advantage.

Responsible for the production of programmes for Design, Procurement, Construction, Installation & Commissioning activities for each project from tender through to completion; also reviewing the progress of programmes on a regular cycle and management reporting. * Development of Tender Programme into Construction Programme where necessary including client specified WBS. * Resource & Cost Loading of these Programmes. * Integration of other contractors programmes into our programmes. * Application of Project and Activity Codings to enable production of “Construction Friendly” Programmes and reports. * Monitoring of design and construction progress by means of weekly trackers by pro-actively chasing update information. * Periodic updating of programmes. * Recording and impacting into programs, Compensation Events, Early Warnings and the like. * Production of monthly progress reports. * Work closely with project commercial team in producing financial reports and valuations * Update and review of programmes through all phases of the project “life”. * Production of programmes from “First Principles”. Emphasis on the understanding of construction methods and the ability to inform members of the team the reasoning behind the programme. * Co-ordination of input from all departments into the programme and take the “lead” on the programme development. * Monitor progress of construction activity on site on regular basis to ensure final delivery of project before the agreed contract date. * Assistance in the development of output database. * Attend meetings as required. * Regular site visits so as to assist site teams with planning matters. * Liaison with Site teams regarding input into programme development. Collation of progress information & production of progress reporting.
* Accurate setting out of the works and dimensional control. * Resolving technical problems at all levels. * Carry out inspections in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan in a timely manner. * The production of survey information and red – lined drawings for the completion of the As-built records. * Ensuring activities are carried out in safe manner in accordance with the Project Safety Plan. * Accurate maintenance of Quality Management System records. * Ensure equipment is calibrated, in date and suitable checked in accordance with company policies and the manufacturers’ defined requirements. * Ensure the site diary is accurately maintained noting against each record the date, location and serial * number of equipment used. * Ensure construction operations are carried out in accordance with the Contract requirements using the appropriate agreed procedures. * Makes sure that only competent personnel are used to carry out the Works. Policies the outputs to confirm that the required level of quality is maintained. * Co-ordination and supervision of Sub-contractors in the performance of the Works. * Informing senior management of any non-conformances or poor workmanship. * Ensure all site personnel have clear, accurate and appropriate information to carry out their duties. * Minimises environmental disturbance during construction works. Supervises the outputs and confirms that the project environmental requirements are met. * Close liaison with the Site Foreman and Works Managers. * Ensure that only the latest issue drawings and documents are being used. * Ensure all materials on site are suitable, stored in line with manufacturer’s recommendations, current working practice, contract specification or project requirements. * Assist the Site Management team to update KPI’s, material reconciliation and progress reports.
I am looking to recruit 3 x Steel Erectors to work on a project in Plymouth starting in September. The project will run through to Christmas (maybe a little beyond), and be worked on a Monday - Saturday, 10 hours per day. The project is 4 storey industrial plant building, which we will erect a floor at a time and install pipework and cladding. Must have a valid MEWP ticket and ideally Slinger Signaller.
My client are looking to recruit a Groundworker/Dumper Driver for a site in Swindon. You must have Dumper above and below 10T for working on the airport. They are doing regrading and restating works. You must be able to provide full photo ID, and ideally (but not essential) previous airside experience.
